The term "content creation" is often overused in marketing but it remains an important aspect of running a business.
With so much content to create, it can be overwhelming for business owners.
However, with proper planning and organization, the content creation process can be streamlined to be faster and more effective.
A content calendar is a useful tool in this process as it helps plan ahead when to post and on which platform. The calendar can also be used to determine the type of content to be shared and the assets needed. Each piece of content should fit into the overall marketing strategy, which may include educating the audience, engaging them, generating leads or sales, sharing expertise, or building community.
Reusing, repurposing, and recycling content is another way to make the content work harder and increase impact while saving time.
Templates can also be used to streamline the content creation process by providing a shortcut and reducing the number of decisions that need to be made.
By using templates, the general idea of what is needed is established and the content creation becomes easier over time.
Also discussed in this episode - planning to promote the content you create, creating SOPs to make processes repeatable, and using ChatGPT to write outlines and help ideate.
