In this episode of our quarantine series, I reached out to Cara, a fellow Pennsylvanian, and educator. Her school, like most across the nation, has closed its doors and transferred to online classes. Reeling with this quick transition, she tells us about her experience shifting to an online platform, dealing with social isolation, and her dream-like mind in some Pennsylvanian mountains.

Emily is an American currently living abroad in Strasbourg, France with her partner. She is an educator of English at a local university and continues living her French life to its fullest. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of changes to nearly everyone's lives and hers is no exception. As most of us seem to be getting more Netflix time, her work has actually kept her busy to the point where she feels like she has almost no free time at all.

Brianna is an American living her French Dream in Annecy, France alongside her fiancé, Mike. She recently moved back to France in mid-February while the COVID-19 pandemic was just beginning to seem like a risk. It didn't cross her mind at the time how it may affect her life within the next month. After moving from Orléans to Annecy, France imposed a strict lockdown where citizens can only leave their house with a form declaring work-, food-, or health-related reasons. But with an unfurnished apartment, things can more difficult than making sure you have enough food.

As I'm an American currently experiencing the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in Newark, NJ, I was curious how people were fairing in Europe and more specifically, France. This episode tackles the dire effects of the novel coronavirus in Europe and how Samantha is dealing with self-isolation and social distancing.
