    What a day for Koa Sports athletes, coaches and supporters!  34 starters, 17 x Top 10 AG Finishers, 7 x AG Podiums and 2 x AG Champions, numbers you’d often see across an entire season, let alone at one race!  Good conditions made for some close racing and the Aussie Long Course Championship ensured the fields were stacked deep with talent.

    We wrap up IRONMAN New Zealand weekend and provide detailed insights on the course for those qualified for 70.3 World Championships in December 2024.  It’s one thing to attend the race, another thing to race the race, and our coaches have that all covered, swim, bike, run and transitions.

     

    Kona Roll Down gives us all the emotions as a few more boys punch their tickets to the big island in October, yiewww!  Tim runs a 1:15 OTB, after completing the bike course on a ‘fixie’, with some lessons on racing and staying in the hunt to the end.

    It’s all happening in the world of endurance sports, with the 2024 IRONMAN Season calendar set to kick off in Tasmania, Australia this weekend, we chat to Clint Flood who returns to his home state to try and take the crown after breaking his neck in a cycling accident in 2023.

     

    Did someone say camp?  West Ballina plays host to a stunning bunch of triathletes oozing with talent and dedication.  We walk through the pilot, and hint at what’s to come in for the year, CF and Greg escorting the athletes around the countryside in their luxury European vehicles.

    What a year it has been on the Koa Sports Podcast!  We look back on some on the many highlights, and also reflect on an extraordinary year of racing by our Koa Sports athletes across the world.

    107 finished an IRONMAN, 288 finished a 70.3 and 71 finished on an AG Podium in IRONMAN and 70.3 racing.  Thats some sort of strike rate!  We conquered fondos, shredded gravel and swam a few channels too.

    We dive a little deeper on AI, of course the annual 'sacking of the year' and whats in store for 2024?

    EPISODE 132. BACK TO BACK BUSSO CHAMPIONS

    Koa Sports are your 2023 IRONMAN and 70.3 Club Champions!  The dynasty continues.  

    On a record breaking day, mens and womens, our athletes and coaches willed themselves across the line to remain on the train stopping all stations to victory town.

    The after party was extravagent, with rainbow slushies nearly running the town of Busselton out of ice.  We tell some tall tales without names, and talk a little bit about some race data and athlete results.

    What an episode, we will be back in a few weeks to dissect 2023 and the history making GRAND SLAM of Aussie IRONMANS.
