    Birthday Thoughts - Episode 6

Some thoughts on the mental health craze on my happiest birthday in recent memory.

I bitch about the separation of mental health discussions from the material concerns of people's lives and the social and historical factors that influence our lives.

    Baby Graham - Episode 5

A slight deviation from the usual episode wherein we mourn Baby Graham who died of suspected pneumonia brought on by the cold days we've been experiencing. Basically, capitalism killed him.

Sarafina The Play Directed by Stuart Nash at the Kenya National Theatre - Episode 4

So thanks to a really fantastic friend of mine, I got to watch Sarafina the play, directed by Stuart Nash starring Mkamzee Mwatela, Helen Mtawali and Martin Githinji

I incredibly enjoyed the theatre experience but was disappointed by the play's counter-revolutionary leanings particularly in it's focus on racism and tribalism at the expense of a genuine critique of power and the various form of oppression.

Sarafina should have been a radical, revolutionary, anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist call for social justice through mass movements I don't believe it lived up to that.

Tempestuous Thoughts on Plan B the Movie - Episode 3

First, I enjoyed watching Plan B the movie, but boy oh boy did one character make me #$@!% upset. I basically lose my cool on everything from drunken hook-ups to the pursuit of happiness at the expense of the pursuit of justice. If you have some kind of high blood pressure issue, consider this fair warning.

    Utter Caveat - Episode 2

On this episode, I drop caveats all over the place particularly about critiquing African stories, delving deeper into my motivation and reasoning.  Basically just me disappointing Bill Maher by covering my a$$ for when the PC police find this podcast - which if we're honest would take a miracle, ergo, I have nothing to worry about. Forward!

    Utter Intro - Episode 1

In this episode you find out how lunatic I really am, including but not limited to talking to non-existent children in order to spark in them the moral imperative to revolt and consequently change the world. This is what social change looks like, lunacy. Welcome to Utter Lunacy, here's hoping the lunacy is contagious.
