Ask yourself, what is the goal of being in the markets? Be honest with yourself. Is it to spend all day watching CNBC/Bloomberg? Is it being right on Twitter and dunking on people? If that's the case, then change nothing. I doubt that's the real reason that you chose to get into trading. The real reason is to make money, right? It's not a bad thing to say, it's true. It's important. People are counting on you, your family is counting on you. Society is counting on you. There are a lot of people who would have you believe that making money is evil or greedy.

• Today, CoStar reported that Kroger currently employs 19,000 workers in AZ through Fry’s, Smith’s and three manufacturing and distribution centers, and that they plan to build a new $89m warehouse in SW PHX that uses robots w/ AI to fulfill online orders. “Automated fulfillment centers can help grocers increase productivity and lower costs, and now, can also help with social distancing by reducing the amount of human workers who could be susceptible to catching or transmitting the virus."
• What is to be done about the displaced workers?
• There is a labor shortage in trade skills, and an oversupply of liberal arts degrees
• What are the consequences of a sustained large population of unemployed, able-bodied, working age males

An aging population

• the senior middle market is vastly undeserved
• Migratory patterns
• Walkable suburban town center developments
• Labor shortages, but it is a difficult job

Opportunities:

Rejuvenate the Black Belt and the Rust Belt through an infrastructure upgrade and economic incentives

Create (mandatory?) civic service programs that get city dwellers to national parks to rebuild infrastructure

Provide investor education to help consumers avoid committing financial suicide

Develop a national wellness program that rewards citizens for maintaining good nutrition, fitness standards and mental health to reduce long-term health care costs and have quality of life until the very end
