Points of Perspective

Alex Magee

Points of Perspective is a podcast using Critical Thinking and my opinion on day to day experiences, conspires, and unfair circumstances. I use perception to project my thoughts so that my listeners can gain insight, and hope that my words can be put into perspective, or can be relatable. The conversations I have will generally about Social Science's, Psychology, current events, and the feelings I have behind them. My goal is to ultimately have a platform in which allows me to express my many opinions about the human experience, and inspire critical thinking in one another.

    Self Centeredness isn't ideal.

This episode is about the discussion about Self centered people. I speak on the definition of Self centeredness, the 7 ways people are self centered, and my personal take on how I feel about people who have this habit. I do express that we all have a little bit of self centeredness a little bit depending on the situation, so I refer to people who are this way ALL the time.

Welcoming myself back to Podcasting. What discussions to expect.

I'm basically letting you know that I am coming back to Podcasting! I'll slowly be making my return, but what I plan on discussing in the future will be sociology type of topics. "the relationship between culture and society, examining social movements, or researching how communication affects human behavior" I've expressed that discussions will be about friendships, relationships, social norms and extremes (Not verbatim) but I'd also like to include that there will also be topics about the mental health aspect, trending situations we could take examples from, and how things may not work in our favor if we're too biased towards situations.

Insecurities, or Morals/Principles? and My Take on it!

This episode is influenced based off a video I've ran across on facebook of a video I've seen of a man breaking up with his girlfriend over her lying to him about the reason why she took a trip to Atlanta. I'm giving my take if his action is based off of him breaking up with her off of his insecurities, or his morals and principles.

"The friend zone doesn't exist"? I believe it does.

Many people lately have been making blogs and videos explaining that the friend zone doesn't exist, which is confusing to me when we can define what the friend zone is, and many of us have experienced it, and seen other people go through it. In this episode, I speak on my perspective on what I feel the friend zone is, the examples, and how I feel it is confusing for some to think that it doesn't exist, but yet can define what it is.

    "Incompatibilities" with the Pandemic

It's all in the title. I'm also mentioning a little bit of the stress people can have by walking on egg shells by choosing to not be able to express themselves.

Welcoming myself back: Season 3 of Points of Perspective

I've been gone for too long (since 2019), and now the long break is over! I'm getting my feet wet! So I'm basically releasing this small episode of just a brief talk on why I've been gone, and how I want to come back to Podcasting. I've told myself that once April hits, I'll make an episode no matter what, and start from there, and once I again, I want to remain consistent.

"Get over it" Should be taboo.
I'm expressing why the term "get over it" is looked at in a huge negative way, and how some people can feel offended, dehumanized, and how the term is unwelcomed. A lot of people say it freely without considering that many suffer through mental illnesses. I also hit a point of how some contradict using this term, while they're not over everything bad that they've been through as well too. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pointsofperspective/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pointsofperspective/support

In this episode, I'm speaking about how people should start podcasting if they ever desired to, and how everyone should have their own platform if they have a voice that want to be heard. I also Speak about my thoughts on how meme create the battles with the sexes on social media, the men vs the women in the last segment.  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pointsofperspective/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pointsofperspective/support

Conversing with my Nephew: Boundaries | What to look for in a Mate

Hello Everyone! I want my listeners to know that in this episode, my nephew and I was just chilling and talking. We did this episode off of a whim.  It's more laid back, and excuse Kahj for being under the weather, but we wanted to bond by just talking about whatever came up.

My Hiatus and the Reason, youtube vs podcasting, and what to expect from me.
I did this episode raw with no editing. I felt a strong urge to do this out a whim due to missing podcasting. So I decided to end my Hiatus, and release this raw and uncut, speaking briefly updating you all about me. I briefly speak about the differences of podcasting vs YouTube, and creating content on the platforms, the reason why I have my points of perspective and how it applies to my episodes, and then what makes me different from social media influencers.
