Carney ENDORSES carbon taxes while PANDERING to global elites

On today’s episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, guest host Kris Sims takes a closer look at Prime Minister Mark Carney’s latest overseas appearance. Speaking at the Global Progress Action Summit in England alongside UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Carney praised carbon taxes as “textbook good policy.” At home, the Parliamentary Budget Officer is sounding the alarm. With federal debt now at $1.2 trillion, interim PBO Jason Jacques warns that Ottawa’s current path is “stupefying” and unsustainable. Canadians are already paying $1 billion a week just to service the interest — the equivalent of burning down a brand-new hospital every seven days. Canadian Taxpayers Federation Atlantic director Devin Drover joins to examine the Liberals’ firearms “buyback” program. Experts and police warn it will waste billions while targeting lawful gun owners instead of criminals — and the CTF is stepping in with free legal advice to help Cape Breton residents push back. Health Canada sides with BIG PHARMA to SPITE Trump + Liberals caught FUNDING Antifa-linked group?!

On today’s episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice highlights Ottawa’s pattern of putting politics and ideology ahead of evidence and common sense, and how the legacy media runs cover every step of the way. The National Telegraph founder Wyatt Claypool joins the show to discuss the Supreme Court’s decision to pause the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s order to cull more than 400 ostriches in British Columbia. Despite the birds recovering from avian flu, the agency pushed ahead anyway, sparking protests, arrests, and outrage before the court stepped in. Next, Candice and Wyatt discuss Health Canada’s decision to contradict President Trump and RFK Jr. on warnings about Tylenol use during pregnancy. Instead of addressing years of studies pointing to potential risks, officials sided with Big Pharma and dismissed the concerns simply to spite Trump. They also examine how Liberals continue funnelling money to the Canadian Anti-Hate Network, an activist group with Antifa ties, even after President Trump signed an executive order designating Antifa a domestic terrorist organization. Finally, Candice is joined by RockLinc CEO Jonathan Wellum to examine Ottawa’s looming “mega deficit.” With Carney preparing to spend billions more while capital and jobs flee, Wellum warns Canada is falling further behind as the U.S. reindustrializes under Trump.

Canada’s media SMEARS Charlie Kirk + Liberals BLOCK moment of silence

On today’s episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, Candice confronts the shocking murder of Charlie Kirk and the disturbing reaction from the political Left and the media establishment. Over the weekend, Utah Governor Spencer Cox and President Donald Trump both confirmed that the suspected assassin, Tyler Robinson, had been radicalized by leftist ideology online. Authorities revealed Robinson had spoken openly of his hatred for Kirk and even confessed on Discord shortly after the killing. But instead of mourning a generation’s conservative leader, Canada’s left-wing media rushed to smear Kirk in death as they had in life. CBC, CTV, the Globe and Mail, and freelance activists like Rachel Gilmore downplayed the assassination and even suggested Kirk “reaped what he sowed.” CBC’s so-called “hate experts” went further, spreading lies about Kirk’s record while branding his supporters “far-right.” Candice argues this wasn’t just an attack on Charlie Kirk — it was an attack on free speech, democracy, and the very foundation of Western society. Meanwhile, Liberals in Ottawa blocked Conservative MPs from holding a moment of silence in Kirk’s honour, even as thousands of ordinary Canadians held vigils across Alberta and artists like Morgan Wallen paid tribute on stage. This is political violence fuelled by years of conditioning, where the media paints conservatives as “fascists,” “extremists,” and “domestic terrorists,” creating the toxic environment that enables real violence. Candice exposes how the establishment continues to smear conservatives while excusing their own side’s extremism, and why Canadians must push back.

Parliament returns as Carney warns of WORSE deficit

Parliament is back, and so are the fights that matter most to taxpayers. On today’s episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, guest host Kris Sims breaks down what to expect now that MPs have returned to Ottawa. Prime Minister Mark Carney is already warning Canadians to brace for a worse-than-expected deficit, despite taxpayers losing $1 billion every week to interest payments on the debt. At the same time, Ottawa has paused its ban on gas and diesel vehicles, but the issue is far from over and will remain a flashpoint in the weeks ahead as Canadians push back against costly and impractical mandates. Kris is joined by Canadian Taxpayers Federation federal director Franco Terrazzano to expose how Carney’s deficit plans, Ottawa’s bloated bureaucracy, and years of wasteful spending are hurting Canadians, while MPs continue to reward themselves with pay raises. Kris and Franco also warn that Ottawa’s promise to “build big things” is the wrong solution — what Canada really needs is less red tape, fewer taxes, and a government that gets out of the way so private investors can finally move projects forward.

    Remembering Charlie Kirk

On today’s episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, guest host Kris Sims covers the passing of Charlie Kirk, who was known for his grassroots advocacy, his defence of free speech, and his belief in the power of open debate to strengthen democracy. Kris is joined by The National Telegraph founder Wyatt Claypool, who as a young conservative voice in Canada discusses Kirk’s influence on the next generation of activists and the importance of building independent media platforms. Later, Kris is joined by Troy Lanigan, President of the Manning Foundation for Democratic Education and a long-time organizer within citizen-led movements. Lanigan reflects on Kirk’s legacy, the role of democratic engagement, and why free expression remains vital in today’s political climate. They underscore the lasting mark Kirk left on both Canadian and American conservatism, reminding us that his work will continue to inspire those who champion open debate and civic action.

Carney sidelines pipelines + Doug Ford tells unemployed youth to “look harder”

As Parliament prepares to resume, a Radio-Canada report says pipelines are nowhere on the Carney cabinet’s agenda. That puts Ottawa at odds with Alberta and Saskatchewan, where Premiers Danielle Smith and Scott Moe have been clear: if the federal government wants energy projects to move forward, it must repeal or rewrite C-69, lift the West Coast tanker ban, and scrap the emissions cap. Guest host Kris Sims is joined by Toronto Sun columnist Brian Lilley to break down the politics and the math. Lilley explains why companies won’t propose major projects under today’s rules — pointing to regulatory uncertainty and past cancellations like Northern Gateway and Energy East — and warns shelving pipelines now would inflame Western alienation and damage national unity. They also dig into the economics: stalled investment, lost revenue, and Canada’s widening GDP-per-capita gap with the U.S. Lilley argues predictable rules — not pauses and reviews — are what industry needs across oil and gas, autos, steel and telecom. Finally, the show tackles youth unemployment and immigration policy. After Doug Ford suggested young people should “look harder” for work, Lilley notes Ontario’s youth jobless rate is elevated and entry-level markets are squeezed by the temporary foreign worker stream, expanded work rights for international students, and rapid inflows of work-eligible newcomers.

Ben Mulroney: “I’ve never seen this level of crime in Canada”

On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, guest host Kris Sims is joined by national radio host Ben Mulroney. Mulroney doesn’t hold back — saying he has “never seen this level of crime in Canada” and warning that Canadians no longer feel safe in their own homes. They dig into the failures of Canada’s justice system, from repeat offenders to weak sentencing, and why provinces like Ontario desperately need more jail space. Mulroney explains why he supports exploring Pierre Poilievre’s self-defence law proposal, which he says would force criminals to rethink the risks of breaking into Canadians’ homes. The conversation also touches on the decline of court reporting in mainstream media, and whether independent outlets should revive “court watch” coverage to hold judges and politicians accountable. Finally, Kris and Ben turn to Parliament’s return and the Carney government’s political balancing act. Mulroney weighs in on affordability, Liberal divisions over climate policy, and why he believes “without Mark Carney, the Liberals would be in third place.”

Carney BACKS DOWN on EV mandate?

On today’s episode of The Candice Malcolm Show, guest host Kris Sims is joined by Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Energy, to break down a major policy reversal from Prime Minister Mark Carney. Carney has announced his government will delay the electric vehicle sales quota that was set to force dealerships to make 20% of all new car sales battery-powered by 2026. The controversial mandate would have driven up costs, restricted consumer choice, and left dealers stuck with unsold stock. After months of pushback from taxpayers, industry, and ordinary Canadians, Carney has blinked — but only partially. As Kris and Dan explain, the delay is a tactical retreat, not a victory. EV demand is collapsing without subsidies, Canada’s grid cannot support mass electrification, and the uncertainty continues to hurt dealers and investors. Meanwhile, Ottawa’s broader climate agenda — including the industrial carbon tax, clean fuel standard, and production caps — still threaten jobs and affordability across the country. Kris and Dan dig into why the mandate was doomed from the start, how public pressure forced Carney’s hand, and what Canadians must do to ensure the policy is scrapped completely.

EXCLUSIVE: Govt HIDING migrant data + Poilievre calls for END to temporary foreign worker program

On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice breaks an EXCLUSIVE news story that the Liberal Government refuses to share exit tracking data on those ‘temporary’ visitors whose visas have expired and those who are illegally in Canada. That’s right. The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) tracks if a temporary foreign worker or international student hops on a flight and leaves Canada. But suspiciously, they won’t share the numbers! Apparently, the government doesn’t want the public to know how many ‘temporary’ visitors are over-staying their visas, remaining here illegally. Why does this matter? The Carney Government’s 2025 immigration plan assumes that 1.2 million ‘temporary’ residents will VOLUNTARILY leave the country once their visas expire. But nobody will track them down. Could many of them decide to stay illegally, joining the estimated 500,000 illegals already in Canada (Ottawa’s own estimate). This story – and their refusal to share data with journalists – shows the Liberal government’s refusal to take illegal immigration seriously. Later in the episode, Candice is joined by Conservative MP and the Shadow Minister of Immigration Michelle Rempel Garner. They discuss our exclusive story and the broader problem of relying on ‘temporary’ immigrants to voluntarily leave the country on their own. Next, they discuss Pierre Poilievre’s BIG announcement yesterday that the Conservatives are calling for an END to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. Candice shares clips of Pierre discussing this policy announcement and his response to those who say businesses need this type of foreign labour. She also shares a clip of Prime Minister Mark Carney justifying the program because big corporations like it. Candice asks Michelle why the Conservatives didn’t announce this program sooner and why they didn’t run on it during the recent election, and Michelle explains how they got here. Finally, Michelle Rempel Garners SLAMS the Carney Liberals for their repeated attacks on free speech and the independent media in light of Ottawa’s criminal investigation into Juno News and our reporter Keean Bexte. It’s an episode you’re not going to want to miss!

Carney Government launches CRIMINAL investigation into JUNO NEWS

This is one episode you’re not going to want to miss. On today’s very special episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice and Juno News co-founder Keean Bexte discuss a letter he received from the Commissioner of Elections Canada informing him that he’s being investigated under Section 91 of the Canada Elections Act for supposedly knowingly misleading the public during an election. If found guilty, Keean faces up to five years in prison and a $50,000 fine. Juno News unequivocally stands by our story and our reporter. These allegations are false and that this investigation is politically motivated – with the intent of intimidating independent journalists and silencing dissent against the governing Liberals. And we need your help to fight back. The Liberals are betting they can wear us down, bankrupt us, and send a warning to every journalist in the country. They’re dead wrong. Go to DefendJuno.com to find out how you can help us fight back. On today’s show, Candice and Keean discuss his report that prompted this investigation, where he painstakingly documented several disturbing allegations against former Liberal candidate Thomas Keeper based on firsthand testimonials from multiple independent sources. Keean even visited the Liberal Party campaign office in Calgary to hand deliver questions to Thomas Keeper – and Keeper called the police and made false allegations against him. Keeper did not sue Juno News directly or allege defamation. Instead, the Liberal Government is bullying us with a criminal investigation. As Candice reports, the Trudeau Government made changes to the Canada Elections Act back in 2019, using the Russia-gate hoax as justification. The Canadian Constitution Foundation challenged the law, and in 2021 it was struck down as unconstitutional by an Ontario judge. The Trudeau Government made minor edits to the law, and this appears to be the first time anyone in Canada has been investigated under this act. There are three different tests that would need to be met in order for the government to charge Keean: That he lied in his reporting That he knew he was lying, and reported it anyway That he intentionally wanted to interfere with the election by lying All three of these allegations are wrong. Our story is based on corroborated first-hand accounts from multiple independent sources, so Keean didn’t lie – he certainly didn’t knowingly lie, and we released it to inform the public – not sway the election. Poilievre demands SELF-DEFENCE laws for Canadians in their home + Smith WRECKS Edmonton School Board

On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice discusses Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s announcement over the weekend calling for Castle Law-type changes to the criminal code to allow Canadians to use force – including lethal force if necessary – to defend themselves from intruders and attackers. Liberal Attorney General Sean Fraser clapped back at Poilievre and wrote on X:”‘This isn’t the Wild West. It’s Canada.” As Candice points out – that didn’t age well, as the long weekend saw two gruesome examples of home invasion violence in Ontario, including the horrifying story of a man who was murdered in the middle of the night by intruders, right in front of his wife and small children. Candice is joined by Erika Barootes, founding President of the United Conservative Party of Alberta and Department Head of Applied Politics and Public Affairs at MaKami College. They discuss how the Liberals created this public safety crisis and how Canadians need to be able to defend themselves and their homes. Next, they discuss the latest from Alberta and Premier Danielle Smith’s sensible policy to remove sexual and pornographic materials from Alberta schools. In response, the Edmonton Public School Board removed from than 200 books from its libraries – including classic novels that are in no way problematic. Smith responded by eviscerating the school board and calling out their attempt at “vicious compliance.” Thank you to MaKami College for sponsoring this episode.
