It’s our birthday episode! After a year of lockdown, we tentatively decided to venture out into the real world for some in person shopping. Of course, we made sure to do so in a responsible manner complete with double masks and an appointment to avoid overcrowding. Our first (and only) stop was Mod + Jo, a boutique jewelry company with their only brick and motor store in Dallas’s Bishop Arts District. Not even a country wide winter storm could stop the kickoff of Fashion Month! And thank goodness because we all needed something good. New York didn’t disappoint with Proenza Schouler acting as a particularly bright spot and Jason Wu giving us some covet worthy coats. Rebecca Minkoff was consistent offering her usual easy to wear dresses and bags, but this time with vegan leather options. This week’s Style Snacks is entertainment jam packed with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s pregnancy announcement, Kim and Kanye’s divorce, the SATC reboot missing even more key characters and the Cruella movie trailer drop. Not to worry, some fashion news happened too – John Legend x Sperry debuts, Alexander McQueen becomes the first in Vestaire Collective’s “Brand Approved” program and a fashion exhibit is actually happening in real life in Paris.
