    You Need Oil

Pastor Justin reminds us that we cannot live off yesterday's oil. The oil of God represents His blessing, favor, and calling on our lives, and God desires to continually refresh His people with fresh oil for every season.

This message challenged us not to live as though we're still bound by the things God has already delivered us from. When we rely only on what God did in the past, we can become stuck in routines and dry in our relationship with Him. Old oil can become stale, and if we're not careful, we can find ourselves going through the motions instead of walking in the fullness of what God has for us. Maybe you're not dead spiritually, just dry and in need of a fresh touch from the Lord.

Pastor Justin reminded us that in biblical times, oil was not easy to obtain. Before the oil could flow, the olives had to be crushed and purified. In the same way, God often uses seasons of pressure, difficulty, and refining to produce fresh oil in our lives. The crushing season is not wasted, it is where God develops our faith. While no one enjoys the process, we must endure the difficult seasons because the anointing God wants to produce in us often comes through the very trials we wish to avoid.

Pastor Justin also encouraged us not to allow unanswered prayers, disappointments, or the shortcomings of people to rob us of our faith in God. We must refuse to let the valley define us, maintain a spirit of expectation, and continue declaring God's blessings over our lives.

The church needs less judgment and less religion, and more of the love of Jesus. As believers, we're called to worship freely, love people well, and pursue a fresh encounter with God. God is still moving today, and He desires to fill His people with fresh oil for the seasons ahead.
