There are a ton of lessons to be learned here about relative levels between vocals, kick, snare, tom and guitars in the genre, exactly how to use panning to enhance the stereo filed and a lot more. What (Almost) Everyone Gets Wrong About Sampling Rates

There's a big misconception about how sampling rate works in audio. And we're going to put it to rest.

Justin Colletti exposes the most pernicious myth about sample rate: That with too few samples, the shape of the original waveform can be misrepresented.

Sine waves could turn into triangle or sawtooth waves if you tried to "draw" them using too few "dots". That this could happen seems logical, and intuitive... but is 100% wrong!

Almost all of us assume this is what would happen at one point or another. But today Justin proves why it's wrong in three ways., and give advice on choosing the best sample rate for you.

Why Your Mix Sounds OK, But FEELS WRONG.

How good your mix "sounds" doesn't matter if it doesn't FEEL right. The #1 way to get mixes to feel better is to correctly identify the rhythmic "micro hooks" in any given section.

The word "hook" can mean a lot of things in music. Here, we are not necessarily talking about the "hook" in the sense of the "chorus" of the song. We're talking about "microhooks" found throughout the song.

Learn all about them, and other ways to make your mix FEEL right and hook listeners... Regardless of how "good" it sounds. Check out all courses here:
