Day 349 | Malachi: Jews dishonor the Lord | Revelation 6: 4 horsemen of the apocalypse

Day 349 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.

In Malachi 1 and 2:1-16, God is speaking to the people of Israel. He reminds them of His love and warns the priests about not honoring Him properly. He's upset because they offer blemished sacrifices, which disrespects Him. God wants the priests to be sincere and teach His ways truthfully. He also talks about how people should be faithful in their marriages and not be unfair to their wives. This section of the Bible teaches about respecting and honoring God, and being faithful and fair in our relationships.

In Revelation 6, John describes a vision of the opening of the first six seals by Jesus. Each seal reveals something different:

    1. The first seal introduces a rider on a white horse, symbolizing conquest.
    2. The second seal reveals a rider on a red horse, representing war.
    3. The third seal shows a rider on a black horse, symbolizing famine.
    4. The fourth seal brings a rider on a pale horse, representing death.
    5. The fifth seal reveals the souls of those who were killed for believing in God, asking for justice.
    6. The sixth seal causes great natural disasters, like earthquakes and the sun turning black, showing God's power and the coming judgment.

This chapter in the Bible is about God's power and the big changes that will happen in the world at the end of times.

Day 347 | Queen Esther has plans for Haman | Revelation 4: John sees Heaven

Day 347 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.

In Esther chapters 6 to 8, King Ahasuerus discovers that Mordecai, Esther's cousin, had once saved his life but was never rewarded. The king honors Mordecai, which makes Haman, the king's advisor who dislikes Mordecai, very upset. Then, Esther and Mordecai are allowed to write a new decree to protect the Jews. This story shows how bravery and faith can lead to justice and protection.

In Revelation, chapter 4, John, the writer, describes a vision of heaven. He sees God's throne, surrounded by amazing sights and creatures that represent the greatness and holiness of God. There are 24 elders and four living beings that constantly praise God, saying, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty." This chapter shows the majesty and power of God and sets the stage for the events that will unfold in the rest of Revelation.

Day 342 | Zechariah has more visions with the Angels | Jude: Introduction

Day 342 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.

In Zechariah 5-8, God sends visions to Zechariah, a prophet. These visions are full of symbols and messages, like a flying scroll representing God's judgment against sin and a woman in a basket symbolizing wickedness being removed. God promises to bless and protect His people if they follow His ways. He talks about a future of peace and prosperity, where different nations will join in worshiping God. These chapters remind us that God wants to remove bad things and bring good things to those who are faithful.

The book of Jude in the Bible is a short letter warning Christians about false teachers who were spreading wrong teachings and living immorally. Jude urges believers to stay strong in their faith, pray, and keep God's love in their hearts. He reminds them that God will judge all, including those who mislead others. It's a message about staying true to what you know is right and helping others do the same.

Day 339 | Daniel ends with a final vision from the angels | 1 John 5: Eternal Life

Day 339 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.

Daniel 11:36 to 12 is about a proud king who doesn't follow God's laws. He will be powerful but will eventually be defeated. Daniel 12 talks about a difficult time coming, but God's people who remain loyal to Him will be saved. It ends with a promise that Daniel will rest and then rise again at the end of days.

1 John 5:1-21 teaches that if we believe Jesus is the Son of God, we are God's children. Loving God means loving His children and following His commands, which are not burdensome. It also says that Jesus came to us by water and blood, and the Holy Spirit tells us this is true. The passage emphasizes that God's testimony is greater than human testimony. It assures us that if we believe in the Son of God, we have eternal life. The letter ends by advising us to stay away from anything that takes God's place in our hearts.
