Happy new year! 2025 is possibly the best year for adventure games at least since the early nineties. And one of the games that could very well be best adventure game of the year is The Drifter from Australian studio Powerhoof and what better way to finish the year than an interview with the main developer, Dave Lloyd, who very kindly agreed to join Seoirse to talk about the game including the themes, story, gameplay and how on earth they managed to make this game feel so fast paced and still make it a point and click adventure game. The Drifter - A gritty, pulpy thriller set in Australia which may be the first ever fast paced point and click adventure game. Some people have been calling this game their game of the year but what do the team think?
Arctic Awakening – The lazy description of this game would be Firewatch in the arctic but this game is so much more. But is it as good as that description sounds? Seoirse travels to the icy wilderness to find out!
Quantum Witch – A magical satire very loosely based on the developer’s own experiences growing up in a strict religious organisation. Does this game do justice to the developer’s fascinating story?
