In this message, Pastor Seth Drewry launches the new series “More and More” from 1 Thessalonians and asks a crucial question: “Is there still a church?” Looking at the story of the young church in Thessalonica, Pastor Seth shows how believers not only survived persecution, but thrived in faith, love, and hope.
From 1 Thessalonians 1, he outlines seven marks of a biblical church:
• A church anchored in Christ alone—Jesus at the center of our past, present, and future.
• A church that knows whose it is—rooted in God’s love and chosen identity.
• A church of truth and power—holding fast to Scripture while welcoming the work of the Holy Spirit.
• A church that suffers without surrendering—enduring affliction with Spirit-given joy.
• A church that echoes the gospel—faith that rings out into homes, workplaces, schools, and communities.
• A church that has truly repented—turning from modern idols to serve the living and true God.
• A church looking for Jesus—living with real hope in Christ’s return.
From Belleville, AR, Pastor Seth calls Believers Fellowship and every listener to examine our own lives and church: Are we the kind of people whose faith endures, whose lives echo the gospel, and who are eagerly waiting for Jesus?

19 July 2026, 10:00 am - 46 minutes 3 secondsFinding God in the Fire
In this sermon, “Finding God In The Fire,” Pastor Seth Drewry preaches from Daniel 3 and the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to challenge believers to stand firm when culture bows. While King Nebuchadnezzar demanded worship of a golden image under threat of a fiery furnace, these three young men feared God more than the flames—declaring, “Our God is able to deliver us…but even if He does not, we will not bow.”
This message calls Christians to refuse to bow to cultural idols, political “isms,” and moral compromise, and to trust that when they stand with God in the fire, He will use that season to refine, deliver, and promote them for His glory.

In this message, Pastor Seth Drewry continues the “Abraham: Journey of Faith” series by walking through Genesis 22 and Abraham’s test on Mount Moriah. Abraham leads Isaac up the mountain carrying only two things in his hands: the fire and the knife.
Pastor Seth shows how this Old Testament moment points to Jesus, the Lamb of God, and reveals a God who does not demand the death of our children, but instead seeks to fully capture our hearts. He explains the cultural background of child sacrifice, why this passage separates the one true God from all false gods, and how the ram in the thicket foreshadows Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.
From there, Pastor Seth applies the story directly to families and the next generation. Abraham was:
Available to hear God’s voice
Obedient to respond, even when it didn’t make sense
Prepared to walk out what God had spoken
Willing to trust God completely with his son’s life
Using the image of Abraham carrying the fire and the knife, Pastor Seth calls parents, grandparents, and spiritual leaders to lead the next generation “up the mountain” into an encounter with God. The knife represents the Word of God—sharp, precise, and able to cut through lies, sin, and spiritual strongholds. The fire represents the Holy Spirit—God’s presence that purifies, empowers, and ignites a living, active faith.
This sermon challenges believers to:
Tune their ears to God’s voice and be ready to change course
Recognize that not everyone can go where God is calling you—some “donkeys” must be left behind
Trust God with their children’s ultimate destiny, even as they faithfully steward and disciple them
Carry both biblical truth (the knife) and Holy Spirit power (the fire), instead of settling for dry knowledge or unanchored emotion
Pastor Seth also presses into the New Testament pattern of the baptism in the Holy Spirit from the book of Acts, urging every believer not only to know the Word but to ask God for the fire of the Holy Spirit in their own lives. When the fire and the knife come together—Word and Spirit, truth and power—God transforms lives, strengthens families, and awakens a new generation to follow Jesus.
If you’re a parent, grandparent, or anyone burdened for the next generation, “The Fire & The Knife” will help you see how to lead young people toward an encounter with God by faithfully carrying His Word and His Spirit every day.
