Jakob's Wife: How Anne Got Her Groove Back

At this week's gathering of the Cult of Horror, the delectable duo (plus Hunter) discuss their ongoing lives of melodrama. Elliott is still carless and grieving. Hunter discovered the HATCHET series a decade late. And Eric tries to pump some life into the podcast with a poor-man's morning-zoo soundboard. This week's main review is Shudder's newly released vampiric horror, JAKOB'S WIFE, starring THE Barbara Crampton. The boys will decide if it goes for the throat or just plain sucks. And lastly, the gang reviews their first cult/fan recommendation with 2020's THE EMPTY MAN. A paranormal mystery that has a lot going on. Listen in to hear whether the boys were blessed or cursed with the new segment's first installment. Bitches!

    Fear Street Special Part 2: 1978 & 1666

This week's episode is the second part and conclusion of the CULT OF HORROR FEAR STREET SPECIAL. Much in line with the review of the this trilogy, Eric reveals that he is straight out of fucks to give at work and is on an office mean streak. Here's to hoping he's still employed. 🍻

No new news this week. Just a cut to the chase (literally in this case.) The gang continues their plummet into Netflix's FEAR STREET "thrillogy" with the middle child: 1978. A classic camp slasher that explores more of Shadyside's witch curse and gives Elliott his sack-headed-killer fix.
Lastly, the third and final film, 1666, throws the FEAR STREET films into a colonial time warp giving us a beginning to this whole story. The boys weigh-in with their highs and lows, blessings and grievances and their final thoughts on FEAR STREET as a whole. Was it fucking worth it?

A Classic Horror Story: Curious Chubby Italian Boy

Back once again, this week the fellas are more fear than fright as the Covid-Delta variant is clouding over their spooky boy summer. To add to this morose mood is Hunter and Elliott's privileged car problem woes. Meanwhile, Eric is a capable adult man who can mend his own machinery. Post pity-party, Elliott big-shoots the latest in horror news and releases, as per usual. This week's review is Netflix's Italian camper-cult, folk-horror film, A CLASSIC HORROR STORY.  Is this European flick a new classic or a hodgepodge of misplaced references? Finally, Elliott gives his freebie movie recommendation with South Korea's 2016 suspense/horror story, THE WAILING. A creepy movie that has damn near everything.

Censor: I'm Taking This Seriously, But I'm Also Taking It Home.

Back to the horror after a historical holiday hiatus, the boys are full-bore into hot mess summer. Eric suffers through Karens in the workplace. Hunter claims to be taking a road trip soon. And Elliott thinks the Mandela Effect theory is dumb. But then there's actual news.
This week the boys rate the brand new psychological horror, video nasty themed film, CENSOR. Is it worth a rewind or a fast forward?
Finally Hunter brings the cult his movie recommendation with BANSHEE CHAPTER. A maybe or maybe not scifi, thriller/horror/conspiracy sleeper from 2013. See if this MK-Ultra, mixed media mind-fuck is something you'd liked to be subjected to.

False Positive: It Peed On Me.

This week's episode is jam-packed! The boys discuss the Golden Age of wrestling. Eric and Elliott dish on the new season of Netflix's BLACK SUMMER, leading to the gang hashing out their survival plans for the, at this point, inevitable apocalypse. And as per usual they bring up and defend GILMORE GIRLS.
On a special news segment, the guys weigh in with their thoughts on the new trailer drops for CANDYMAN (2021) and HALLOWEEN KILLS.
Next, the boys tear into their review of FALSE POSITIVE. HULU's brand new pregnancy thriller starring Ilana Glazer. Abort or keep? Listen for the diagnosis.
Finally, Eric presents us with his movie recommendation of the 2014 psychological horror film, LAST SHIFT. A straight-to-DVD cop vs. cult hidden gem.

    Caveat: Shit Defender

    NEW EPISODE
On this week's episode, the spookiest boys find themselves in the moodiest of moods. Hunter's out of meds, Eric's sleep deprived, and Elliott's caught in the middle of a toxic household. After kicking things off proper with some exciting news that's "too big to fail" as well as the latest in headline-horror, the gang gleefully hops into a review for the 2020 film, CAVEAT (2020)! This latest Shudder exclusive has the critics, the cult and the boys talking. Is CAVEAT the indie-gem  we've been waiting for all year OR or is it plagued by limitations like the title implies? Finally, Elliott brings a spoiler-free review for an obscure made-for-TV film entitled DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW (1981). This old-school horror tale gives new meaning to the term "the final straw."

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (Good Ole Felcher)

On this week's episode, the boys come back from a short break and kick things off with some shit talking, strangling, Yu-Gi-Oh, sex work, and a dense backlog of horror news. Next, they flawlessly segway into the latest installment of the only active horror franchise: THE CONJURING: THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT.  Will Eric continue singing the franchise's praises? Will this bring an end to Elliott's decade long quest to destroy the Warrens' legacy? Will Hunter just use the shrug emoji and leave it at that? Tune in to find out! The episode wraps with Hunter's Tubi pick dubbed CLOWN (2014). This film has heart! Also a lot of organs flying around. Check it out or else! Love you.

Son: The Adventures of Lesion Boy

This week, the boys discuss work (or lack thereof), Texas' stormy weather, "beef-meats" Matthew McConaughey and Christian Bale. You know, old man shit. Then Elliott upsets himself again by speculating about upcoming horror films and series.
The gang then takes a chance on the latest ROSEMARY'S BABY knockoff that is eloquently titled SON (2021). Will this be another trite and aimless waste of time or a diamond in the rough? FIND OUT! Finally, Catfish wraps things up with an action-packed, blood-drenched thrill ride called NO ONE LIVES (2012). Brought to you by the WWE. That's not a joke. That's a wrap!

    The Banishing: Hallmark Horror

On this week’s installment, Eric’s goes off the rails, Hunter gets Schlit-faced, and Elliott has a bone to pick with Hunter. After a grand altercation, the boys breakdown a slew of horrific news, including a depressing update on the Collector series. They meander into a review of the latest Shudder original THE BANISHING (2021), directed by Christopher Smith of TRIANGLE fame. Will this installment live up to the legacy Smith started or become imprisoned in a dungeon of mediocrity like many before it? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The cast concludes a pick from Elliott’s vault: a faux-documentary that is more relevant now than it has any business being, SAVAGELAND (2014). You won’t want to sleep on this one. You won’t be sleeping after watching it either.

The Block Island Sound: The Sound Of Foreskin Rubbing

This week's episode finds the boys in a slow news week and really phoning it in. Instead they have discussions about aliens and road trip piss break visits to this truck stop planet. Elliott goes on a rant about his disdain of white people, his frustration over the recent racist attacks and Mark Wahlberg's history of violent hate crimes. (Look it up!)
Eventually the conversation turns to the main topic review of 2020's fisherman scifi thriller, THE BLOCK ISLAND SOUND. What's that about?
Wrapping out the episode is Hunter's spoil-free movie suggestion of THE BLACKCOAT'S DAUGHTER (2015). A twisty-turny film about some evil shit befalling some familiar faces at a Catholic prep school. How about that ending, eh?
