God always keeps his promises

God is accomplishing His purposes in the world—even when we can't see it.

Many people wonder if God is truly good when life is hard. In this message, we’ll look at one of the clearest descriptions of God’s character in Scripture and discover that everything He does flows from His perfect goodness, love, mercy, holiness, and justice. Because God has shown us incredible mercy, we are called to reflect that same mercy to others.

God knows everything and always knows the best way.

God is the source of all life, beauty, joy, and satisfaction. We were created to find our life in Him.

We’ll all be known for something. Maybe our desire isn’t literal fame, but it can often be success, likeability, or acceptance. Are we living in a way that promotes and protects our kingdoms or God’s kingdom? Our purpose or God’s purpose? A good life is one that answers a call from God no matter how unpopular it makes us.

it is easy to think a “good life” is achieved through our own gratification. Being filled and satisfied with desirable luxuries (abundance of food, comfort, travel, entertainment). The bible doesn’t say God wants our happiness, he invites us to holiness. Through holiness and living a Godly life, naturally we will be satisfied beyond only happiness.

We will never be generous until we realize we have nothing. It’s not ours anyway.

Sometimes God gives us a clear next step and calls us to act. Other times, our need to “figure it all out” steals our peace. Instead of relying on God, we default to striving, hustling, and people-pleasing, asking what builds our kingdom rather than God’s. But what if we paused to pray and seek wise counsel? It may feel counterintuitive to let go of constant productivity, yet the more we say yes to God’s ways, the more peace we find, even when we produce less. In Jesus, we find abundant life.

The Old Testament is not obsolete — it is essential for understanding God’s holiness, humanity’s sinfulness, covenant, sacrifice, grace, and ultimately Jesus. The Old Testament still teaches, shapes, warns, and strengthens believers because it helps us know Jesus.

Every major Old Testament figure leaves us longing for a better version fulfilled in Jesus.
