Join Nate and Josh as they break down the past week's biggest movie news stories and discuss a weekly movie topic.
With Wrestlemania 41 this weekend, Nate wanted to shine a spotlight on some of his favorite things in wrestling because after all, wrestling is just another form of storytelling just like movies and comics! This week, he looks at his personal picks for his 10 favorite WWE matches of the last decade or so, give or take. The only stipulation is that he had to have watched the match as it was happening, no blasts from the past.
What are your favorite matches of all time? What are some WWE matches or shows you think are underrated? Whatever your thoughts, comment below!
Sometimes you watch a movie and the ending is so bad that it kinda ruins the rest of the movie for you. But what about those times that it isn’t the end of the movie that’s the problem, but the beginning? What about those times where a movie starts off on such a bad note, starts off so poorly, that the rest of the movie really never recovers?
Well, this week, Nate looks at 5 movies he thinks are prime examples of movies stumbling right out of the gate and never fully recover from their opening scenes. What do you think? What are some movies that had such bad openings that the rest of the movie was ruined for you? Whatever your thoughts, let me know down in the comments below!
Superman is a beloved comic book iconic for over 85 years and has tons of incredible stories in the comics. But what is the best Superman story? Today, Nathan takes a deep dive into his personal pick for the greatest Superman comic of all-time: Superman For All Seasons.
Superman For All Seasons is a 1998 comic by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale and shows how Clark Kent’s upbringing in Smallville shaped him into the man he would someday become, Superman. The show would even be the inspiration for the hit tv series, Smallville. The comic is still inspiring creators to this day as James Gunn cites this as one of the four comics he basing his new Superman movie on.
Have you read Superman For All Seasons? What’s your favorite Superman story? Whatever your thoughts, let me hear them down in the comments!

A while back in 2017, Lego Batman director Chris McKay was attached to direct a live action Nightwing movie. Sadly, that movie never ended up happening but in the meantime, Nightwing fanboy Nathan decide to pitch his idea of what a Nightwing movie could look like. Told over three parts, the story sees the rise, fall, and rise again of Bludhaven’s favorite hero Nightwing!
In our ideal first movie, Nightwing moves to Bludhaven to establish a new identity for himself and move out of Batman’s shadow. But he quickly runs a foul of the biggest mob boss in town, Blockbuster. Now, Nightwing must figure out if he has what it takes to stand on his own, away from Batman’s watch.
In our part 2, criminals of Bludhaven are more dangerous than ever; thankfully Nightwing has help, or does he? He makes an uneasy alliance with a man named Slade Wilson who promises to help him protect the city. What follows is a story of anger and betrayal and threatens to take away everything from our hero.
In our finale, Nightwing has been cast out of Bludhaven and has returned home to Gotham City. Alongside Batman, the two men must put aside their troubled past to uncover the mystery of the Court of Owls. Old wounds are reopened and secrets uncovered that will change things forever!
What did you think of this version of a Nightwing trilogy? What parts worked for you and what parts didn’t? How would you write a Nightwing? Whatever your thoughts, comment them down below!
John Carpenter’s 1978 masterpiece Halloween is finally getting a new game, and not just one game! Boss Team Games, the developer behind Evil Dead: The Game, is reportedly working on not just one but TWO new Halloween video games. According to a report from IGN, both games are set to take place during the original movie and players will be able to relive iconic moments and play as iconic characters from the film. Original film director and composer John Carpenter is even back and working with the creative team on the project.
While many are expecting one of the games to be similar to Dead by Daylight or Texas Chainsaw, Nathan is holding out hope that one of the games will be a story driven single player game. Nathan also hopes that the original game isn’t the only movie involved as there’s lots of fan favorite characters introduced in the later movies.
What do you think about getting two new Halloween video games? What direction would you take them? Whatever your thoughts, comment them down below!
In both a surprising and not surprising move, Marvel is reportedly bringing back the Russo Brothers to direct Avengers 5, formerly known as Avengers The Kang Dynasty, and Avengers Secret Wars. The Russo Brothers previously directed Captain America The Winter Soldier, Civil War, Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame. The film has already seen its fair share of behind the scenes problems as the search for a director has gone on for a while and the film may now be on its third writer.
Avengers 5 will also be moving away from using Kang the Conqueror, thus the dropping of the Kang Dynasty name. While not much is known about the current direction for Avengers 5, Nathan has a theory about who the team may be facing off against. Either way, it’s a good bet to imagine Marvel has a few big announcements next weekend at San Diego Comic Con.
What do you think of the Russo Brothers coming back to the MCU? Do you think they are the right pick for the next two Avengers movies? Whatever your thoughts, sound off down in the comments below!
A Quiet Place Day One tells the story of how the earth was forever changed when the mysterious aliens first landed on earth. While the trailers teased a large scale action/horror spectacle, the film is actually a much slower and methodical character piece about people just trying to survive.
Directed by Michael Sarnoski, director of PIG, the film star Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn as two characters whose paths cross amidst the chaos. The two must work together to help accomplish a specific task against a ticking clock and against a dangerous threat. Check out Nathan’s full thoughts on the flick!
During a press event, Sony Pictures talked about their upcoming slate of movies, one of which is a sequel to Tom Holland’s Uncharted movie. While divisive amongst fans of the iconic video game, the film did turn a profit for the studio while also gaining a decent audience reaction.
Now that a sequel is in fact moving forward, what can this new movie do to improve upon the last film? Nathan breaks down his thoughts on Uncharted 2 as well as what he sees as the keys to success for a good Uncharted movie adaptation. What did you think of the Uncharted movie? What would you do for the potential sequel? Whatever your thoughts, comment them down below!
Godzilla Minus One has been getting HUGE buzz every since it’s limited theatrical run. Now that it’s finally come to streaming, Nathan was finally able to see what all the hype was about for this new Kaijui movie. The movie is a back to basics Godzilla movie with great action set pieces but even greater emotional beats and character moments. A Godzilla movie that truly harkens back to the original 1954 classic! Check out Nathan’s full spoiler free thoughts on the new flick!

This past weekend saw the lowest Memorial Day weekend at the box office in almost thirty years, continuing the trend of a downward trajectory for movie theaters. While many are pointing the finger at streaming or overuse of reboots and sequels, Nathan has some thoughts on the real culprit behind the box office’s failings. This week, he takes a look at the current movie landscape, why it looks so bad at the present moment, and why it may not be the end of movie theaters just yet.
What do you think the biggest reason is for a lackluster year at the box office? How would you go about fixing it? Whatever your thoughts, comment them down below!
