    St. Philip is gearing up for a production of the Broadway musical, Godspell. Director, Pat Evans and cast members Chris Raleigh and Tania Davila discuss the musical's origin and significance. Godspell grew out of the Jesus People movement of the late 60's. The show, composed by Stephen Schwartz with book by John-Michael Tebelak, is structured as a series of parables, primarily based on the Gospel of Matthew, interspersed with music mostly set to lyrics from traditional hymns, with the passion of Christ appearing briefly near the end.     On this episode of Living Real we experience the wisdom of priest/preacher, Monsignor Ray East. Msgr is the son of the late Thomas and Gwendolyn East. The grandson of Baptist missionaries to South Africa, he was born in Newark, New Jersey. Raised in San Diego, he graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in Business Administration. His position with the National Association of Minority Contractors brought him to Washington, DC where he later experienced a call to the priesthood and was ordained in 1981 by Cardinal Hickey. He currently serves as Pastor at St. Teresa of Avila Parish in the District of Columbia, Archdiocese of Washington.
