- 39 minutes 33 secondsThe Powerful Story Behind Erin's Law, with Erin Merryn
Child sexual abuse is far more common than most parents realize: 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be sexually abused by age 18.
But there's hope.
In one of the most powerful episodes I've recorded, I sit down with childhood sexual abuse survivor and activist Erin Merryn, who has spent 15 years getting Erin's Law passed in 38 states. This groundbreaking legislation requires K-12 schools to teach personal body safety education - giving children the language and knowledge to "get away and tell today."
Erin shares her journey from survivor to advocate, the real reasons some states resist this life-saving education, and the incredible stories of other children whose lives have been changed (and saved) by learning this law.
In This Episode:
- What Erin's Law is and why it's being passed state-by-state across America (and internationally)
- The difference between "personal body safety education" and sex education
- Statistics, such as "90% of child sexual abuse is committed by someone the child knows and trusts, NOT strangers"
- How to access FREE curriculum and resources through the Erin's Law Foundation
- What parents & supporters can do right now to support this legislation in the remaining 12 states
About Erin Merryn:
Erin Merryn is an author, activist, and survivor who has dedicated her life to protecting children from sexual abuse. Erin's Law has passed in 38 states, Ontario (Canada), and a state in India. She's currently working on a documentary following her legislative journey, expected to release in 2027.

- 13 minutes 29 secondsWhy Rest Feels Scary and Why Women Have a Hard Time Slowing Down
If the thought of taking a break makes you anxious, you're not alone. Let's talk about why so many women (and men) feel like everything will fall apart the moment they stop moving.
In this episode, I'm unpacking three reasons why rest feels terrifying - from nervous system's addiction to urgency to the fear that your worth is tied to your output. More importantly, I want you to havepractical ways to start retraining your brain to trust yourself to rest.
In This Episode, You'll Learn:
- The 3 reasons stillness feels scary
- How your nervous system gets addicted to urgency and constant motion
- Why high achievers tie their identity to productivity
- How to teach your nervous system that stillness is safe, not a threat
Do any (or all!) of these resonate?:
- "If I slow down, will everything fall apart?"
- "Do people think I'm slacking if I'm not constantly achieving?"
- "Who am I if I'm not the doer or the fixer?"
If these thoughts sound familiar, this episode will help you understand why rest isn't the opposite of success... it's what sustains it.

Ever heard of EFT tapping and wondered if it actually works... or if it's just "woo woo"? I sat down with tapping expert Jackie McDonald to break down this evidence-based technique that combines acupuncture points with emotional processing.
Jackie shares her powerful origin story: how tapping found her at her worst as a 19-year-old new mom dealing with multiple traumatic losses to how she's completely transformed her life and built a business with EFT! She also shares a personal story about using tapping to help her critically ill father sit up and walk after being bedridden in the hospital.
This isn't just "woo" - there's real science behind why tapping works, and Jackie explains it all in an accessible, practical way.
In This Episode, You'll Learn:
- What EFT tapping actually is and how it works
- How it lowers cortisol, calms the amygdala, and regulates your nervous system in minutes
- Exactly where to tap and what to say (including a live tapping session during the episode)
- How to use tapping while driving, in meetings, or anywhere you need quick anxiety relief
- Mistakes people make when starting to use tapping
Bonus: Jackie walked me through a real-time tapping session, proving how accessible and effective this technique can be for anyone willing to try it. (This begins around 17 minutes and lasts for about 10 minutes). I highly recommend you revisit the episode (you can also watch the video version on my youtube) and follow along to experience it yourself!

4 December 2025, 10:00 am - 14 minutes 49 secondsDon't Let The Holidays Steal Your Progress - Finish Strong Instead of Completely Starting Over On January 1st
I've seen the weeks between Thanksgiving and New Year's make or break an entire year of progress. In this episode, I'm tackling the phenomenon that affects so many of us: watching our hard-earned habits completely fall apart during the busiest season of the year.
If you've ever worked hard all year only to feel like everything unraveled in November and December, this episode will encouage you to break that cycle.
In this episode, you'll learn:
- Why the first thing we sacrifice during busy seasons is always ourselves
- The real reason it hurts so much when our habits fall apart
- How losing your habits erodes the trust you've built with yourself all year long
- Why you don't need to be perfect or "keep everything going" to feel good about yourself heading into the new year
You don't have to maintain everything at 100%, but choosing even ONE thing to hold onto will help you end the year feeling proud, capable, and trusting yourself... instead of starting the new year feeling defeated and frustrated.
