March 6, 2016 - Lake County, Oregon - It was a normal morning for Mary Lee Kelley until she noticed that her 25-year-old, 50 foot Oregon Maple tree was missing from her back yard. It appeared to have been removed with large equipment yet she heard nothing throughout the night. The local sheriff's office responded and investigated, but unfortunately the investigation has lead to more questions than answers as this case still remains unsolved. The question that Mrs. Kelley and law enforcement seem to still be asking themselves... is why? Why would someone steal a tree?

Tom and Ben, along with Tina from Good Nurse, Bad Nurse, had to opportunity to interview Dr. Ardavan Aslie. Dr. Aslie wrote the book “Corporate Spine: How Spine Surgery Went Off Track and How We Put It Right” discussing spinal surgery and the use of pedicle screws. The reason for the book is that the screws, according the medical literature, provide little to no benefit to the patient and the basis for its use is on one study. Dr. Aslie has done extensive research in cutting edge technologies related to spinal surgery.
