On this episode of Cold Call, 2018 St. Thomas Law graduate Molly Hough talks to us about her experience as a recent law school grad. Molly is a practicing attorney who joined us on the podcast to talk about life as a new associate at a mid-sized law firm. Additionally, Molly recently passed the Minnesota bar exam and so we discuss the challenges and struggles of taking the exam.

Al Otro Lado is a bi-national, direct legal services organization serving indigent deportees, migrants, and refugees in Tijuana, Mexico. Sarah Koziol traveled to Tijuana during spring break to work with migrants and refugees looking to enter the United States. We also talk to Sarah about her background in art, her work as a paralegal, and we also debate the importance of echo chambers.

On Part 2 of TORT, we continue our conversation with Ellen and Jacob on the law school musical production of "A Tale as Old a Time". This musical parody will be playing March 29th and 30th at the Pantages Theatre in downtown Minneapolis, performance begins at 7:00 pm.

Ellen and Jacob from TORT join the podcast to talk about their time at the University of Minnesota Law School, what areas of law they're interested in, and what being on a Journal is really like.

We talk to Nick about his background in construction, working and growing up in Tennessee, and moving to Minnesota. We talk about how he determined with his partner to go to the University of Minnesota and what classes we like in law school.

Sua Sponte, the law school improv group, joins the show to perform some improv. We talk to the Colleen and Nicolette about improv comedy and how their improv group helped them through law school.
