    Having It All

A rant on the idea that having it all is possible. You can build bridges simultaneously, or one at a time, but you can still complete your bridges and enjoy access to all of them.

As an author, full-time employee, business owner, and mom - I am very passionate about having it all. And I DO think we can have it all at the same time, it just may take a little building first.

Failure is a Passion Project - Do It Often and On Purpose

Permission to try is permission to fail. Why wouldn't you want to fail?

Did you know that in the past couple of years, I tried to launch at least four online stores in the hopes of finally being able to achieve financial freedom? I've written, brainstormed, and daydreamed about countless books that I never finished. I even worked on several ideas that I was so motivated about at the time, both for my business and personal life, but I ended up walking away from it.

For years I carried guilt, judgement, and fear with these ideas. Especially when it came to the fear of getting things wrong again, in front of my audience, and letting them down. After writing my last book (and a recent string of failures) I had an epiphany that will forever change my life. Failure is the key to it all.

I'm excited to talk about this on the podcast and on Instagram today because I know this topic may help you too feel motivated to keep trying, even when you can't always juggle all the things you want to do.

I realized that I failed because I tried, I tried because I was hopeful, and I was hopeful because deep down I know I have it in me to succeed. I decided that I won’t shame myself for getting things wrong and continue to pursue my passion because if I want to go places, failure is a part of the deal. This lesson became very clear to me as I wrote Stronger Now and will dramatically impact how I interact with the world and my ideas for the rest of 2020.

Life is fragile, and while we hear advice to "do it afraid" all the time. What does that really mean? It means that what you want to do is worth ding while there is risk. Fear is a bi-product of fear of risk, lack of control, and judgement. We are all familiar with how those emotions feel. But are your dreams worth it? The answer is always yes.

Since then, I haven't let fear cripple my passion and the possibilities I can and will create. It doesn't mean that I won't stumble, but it does mean I'll keep trying and improving every day. I made it my mission to help others see the potential in them through mindset coaching (applications open now), where I guide my readers to achieve their greatest desires.

Giving yourself the permission to fail is giving yourself the right to try. It provides valuable lessons and experience that you won’t learn from anything else. And honestly? The more you try and fail, the more you succeed. So, go out there and fail. Do it again. I'll be there with you.

How to Find Your Direction & Set Your Truth

In episode 25 we will go over how I found power within myself, a breakdown of the truths I hold in our universe, and how you van find your next direction with a few simple questions.

Find me on Instagram @RebeccaKSampson, my books on Amazon, and join me on Patreon as we write a personal development book together.

If you'd like to copy and past them into your Notes app, here are truths you too can adopt and the questions to ask.

    1. Everything in life happens so that we can grow. Everything is for a reason. Even if it was painful and we didn’t want it at the time.
    2. We have control over everything in our life because we can control our reactions. Our reactions and thoughts on a subject influence its impact on us.
    3. Our best is always good enough, even if our best means taking more naps and working less.
    4. Abundance isn’t tied to hustle. We can experience abundance daily simply by believing we are worthy of it and by providing value to the world. We are taken care of and can take care of ourselves if we open up our ideas and mind to those opportunities.
    5. What we think, we create. If we believe we have to hustle, that is what it will take to get what we want. I choose to have a balance of hustle and flow when it feels right, and choose to have what I want regardless… and so I am right too. Our personal realities are determined by what we think is right. As simple, and difficult, as that.

And now here we are. I encourage you to find whatever truth you need to find to feel okay and to make progress in the direction you want to go. And if you aren’t sure what that direction is, that is a great place to start.

Here are some questions you can ask yourself to find that direction:

    1. What moments in my life bring me the most joy?
    2. What moments do I dislike the most?
    3. How can I have more of the joy, and less of the hate?
    4. What habits support my joy every day?
    5. And then, keep questioning.

Talk to you soon, World Creators. Remember, you are unstoppable.

An Imperfect Start, But It's a Start Either Way

Hello World Creators, it's been a while hasn't it? Today I am sharing an imperfect comeback and a discussion on decision fatigue, doing what is most important to you in the mornings, and giving yourself and others grace and forgiveness as we are all functioning in the best way we can. When every moment feels like "flight or fight" it makes sense that we are exhausted, but in the end I believe we'll create a new world out of it. Normal is going to change and that is okay.
