When Nick Foles took over for an injured Carson Wentz, no one knew the end
The Eagles would take on the evil empire in Minnesota to try and become Super Bowl champions for the first time in franchise history. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick would be in there way. This is the story of how the Eagles became Super Bowl Champions
Remember that time the Eagles destroyed the Vikings 38-7 in the NFC Championship game at the Linc on January 21st, 2018? Yeah, that was fun.
Saturday, January 13th, 2018. A windy day in South Philadelphia. The Falcons were 2.5 point favorites over the Eagles. The game came down to one play: 4th and 2 for the Falcons at the PHI 2 with 1:05 to play. Julio Jones couldn't make the catch and the Eagles advanced to the NFC Championship with a 15-10 victory.
After a terrible performance from Nick Foles in Week 17... panic had set in. There were even some suggesting to look at QB3 Nate Sudfeld. But optimism began to grow and this was the first time that Vegas has stepped in to say the number 1 seed in the NFC, was an underdog.
The Eagles beat the Raiders 19-10 on Christmas night in Week 16. It was a sloppy win and Nick Foles did not have a good night, completing just 19 of 38 passes for 163 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT. Naturally, we wondered...is Foles good enough to lead the Birds to the Super Bowl?
