    Community DC Host Dennis Glasgow visits with Susan Hedstrom, she is the Executive Director for the Foundation for Prader WIlli Research, aka (FPWR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating the challenges of (PWS) Their primary goal is to advance research to develop effective treatments and an eventual cure. And for quick context, PWS is a complex, rare genetic disorder caused by an abnormality on the 15th chromosome. It affects approximately 1 in 15,000 births and impacts development, metabolism, and behavior. And we’ll also be visiting with Kristin White – she is local and on the board at FPWR – and one of her children has PWS and with her husband has spearheaded funding and education among many other things, a story that she’ll share with us.
