7 October 2026, 5:00 am - 9 minutes 40 secondsThe Best Moments of The BBQ Central Show in 10 Minutes or LessEpisode 453Taking you back to April 19, 2016 - Being featured this week is BBQCS GHOF’er…owner of Owl’s Nest BBQ Supply and the regionally…if not nationally recognized and historic…Steve Ray’s Midnite Oil service station…Steve Ray.Of all of Steve’s appearances, I would say that…even 10+ years later…this particular segment still brings a tremendous amount of value to anyone who owns any kind of trailer. The topic of this particular segment was competition trailers…because at the time…there were a lot of pitmasters posting about how they were breaking down on the side of the road…and all of them had pictures of their trailer axles in various states of dis-repair…and I thought, man, this would be a timely and educational segment…and again, this would certainly pertain to anyone who has any trailer…also helps you understand what kind of maintenance schedule you should be following so you aren’t broken down on the side of the road like the rest of those chumps!!Steve and I say…YOU’RE WELCOME…in advance!**Don’t forget to rate and review the show on your podcast app.**Want to hear more from this episode? At this particular point in life, Tim and the team was in the middle of a 5 KCBS BBQ Contest win streak…one of the most prolific streaks in competition BBQ history…in fact…it might be THEE most prolific streak in all of competition BBQ history. Truebud came on the scene and burned HOT…KCBS TOTY, many many MANY competition overall GCs…winning some of the biggest events each year…they were in it to win it! Also, they were a team that showed up at an event…and the collective thought was…well, Truebud is here…I wonder who’s going to win RGC…And for as hot as they brined and for as much as they won…just like that…they were out! Aside from this show…I don;t recall anyone mentioning the name Truebud BBQ…but history will show that they were indeed, one of the best KCB teams to ever do it…shout out to Tim Grant and the whole squad that made up True Bud…Maybe we should do a “whatever happened to” segment on this show…??**Don’t forget to rate and review the show on your podcast app.**Want to hear more from this episode? 23 September 2026, 5:00 am - 9 minutes 35 secondsThe Best Moments of The BBQ Central Show in 10 Minutes or LessEpisode 451Taking you back to 8/28/2018 - This week featuring what was the year anniversary of the EC …that consisted of Doug, Jon, Steve and David Huff. You might recall that the initial EC’s consisted of those same guys but also a few more folks…Patrick Paquette (Basic Patrick) and DJ Howie D from DTS…or…Down To Smoke BBQ Team. A few things I knew right off the bat…the EC segment was a great idea even with a few too many people. Also, I knew if we could get a (4) person line-up that knew what I was looking to do with this hour…it would be great…10 years later…running this segment…I was right! BTW…the origin story of the EC segment was something called “Around the pit”...I think…Jon will know for sure…In any event…get ready for a great Best Moments show this coming Friday…By the way…we know what happened to Steve Ray not being an EC anymore…but you might ask what happened to David Huff…well…let’s just use these words…”Police Vice Squad”, "Prostitution Ring”...draw your own conclusions from there…**Don’t forget to rate and review the show on your podcast app.**Want to hear more from this episode?
