Welcome to Weekend In Dramaland, the official podcast of itstartedwithakdrama.com. We are dedicated Asian drama lovers that are ready to spread our wings and bring our love for dramas to a whole new media platform. Together, we watch a blend of Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, and Thai dramas. On occasion, Filipino dramas as well.
This week, Tiff and I spend over an hour talking about our KCON NY experience. We tell stories, share our experiences, and weigh the good with the bad. We had a blast at KCON and can't believe it's taken us this long to go.
This week, I dig into some last minute information and thoughts on KCON 2019 in NY. Tiff was not able to join me this week, so this ended up being a solo podcast. I spent a good deal sharing my thoughts, expecations, and much more. As tickets go on sale on 5/21/19, I hope my thoughts help you make a clear decision.
As Korean media has been hot-and-heavy with scandals lately, Tiff and I decided it was the perfect time to talk culture, expectations, do's and don'ts. Also, to explain what the heck a Koreaboo actually is.
Welcome back, friends!
Our topic this week is all about KCON 2019. Now, as a disclaimer, Tiff and I have never been to a KCON before, but we are familiar with conventions and concerts. Together, we pulled important information and shared some of our past experiences.
Stay tuned for an additional podcast when we receive details on line up, ticket prices, and the packages that will be available for purchase.
It's been a while! Tiff and I are very sorry for the delay, but we come back swinging. Enjoy over an hour of us talking about dramas we're currently watching. Also, Tiff takes us on our journey through her latest obsession: Chinese bl (boy love) novels.
After a brief hiatus, Tiff and I get together to record another podcast. It was long overdue and a fun process to chat about k-dramas again. This week, we pick a few of the new and upcoming dramas to talk about. This list is only for dramas that have begun airing or will air in the month of December.
Also, stay tuned until the very end of the podcast for a special blooper reel. I forgot to silence my phone and hilarity ensued. I also drop a little curse word, sorry!
Memories of Alhambra (Netflix)
October was not a good time in dramaland. The abrupt closing of DramaFever left everyone stunned, disappointed, and angry. Here's my (Andrea's) take on everything that has gone down the past few weeks.
I also spend some time talking about dramas I'm watching and more. Stay tuned as this is the longest podcast episode to date.

After a few weeks of complications, Tiff and I are back and ready to catch up.
We're excited by the latest developments in 100 Days My Prince, and we can only hope the story maintains its current momentum. Tune in for a whopping 4 episode recap of episodes 5-8. There is a lot to cover and we, equally, have plenty to gush over and speculate about for this week's round of episodes.

This week, Tiff and I embark on a k-drama that's out of our realm of expertise: sageuks (aka historical) dramas.
We talk about the first 4 episodes of 100 Days My Prince. And trust me, we have a lot to say! It might get a bit random and we do drop a few curse words (sorry in advance), but it's all in good fun. Come on aboard and check out all of our thoughts and our burning questions and theories on where the story is heading.
Tiff and I saw Crazy Rich Asians in theaters over two weeks ago with another friend of ours. After thoroughly enjoying the movie from start to finish, we knew we just had to podcast about this one.
As we're between things, Tiff and I decided to take a step back. Sometimes it's new to revisit the basics. We want all of you to understand us a little better, so we put together a little k-drama question and answer session that I hope you all enjoy.
