I'm going to be super honest, this movie was pretty bad. Nothing really entertaining about it in any way. Viewers immediately get a sense that the actors and actresses involved really just didnt seem to want to be there at all. The story had almost zero direction. Hardly any lore to be had. Basically anything you would watch this movie expecting to find just wasnt there. Which is unfortunate. We rated this one pretty low on our list and we basically just rip it apart the whole time. Welcome back ladies and gents, to another episode of Box Office Bob-ombs. This week we cover the 2002 Resident Evil film adaptation and we also have a guest on the pod this week. A long time fan of the show and an even longer time friend, Tanner Standridge. This boy was an absolute pleasure to have on the show and we are honored to count him among guests in our BS Hall of Fame. We figured covering Resident Evil was appropriate in light of the Resident Evil 8 game being released shortly before recording this episode. Either you love or hate the franchise, 2002s Resident Evil movie is honestly a blast. It's simple, sweet, straight to the point, and if you look past all the cheesy action movie tropes, theres actually some artistic vision and design here. All in all, I think the Shanty finally found a gaming movie we enjoyed. If youve never seen it, or havent seen it in years, I recommend giving it another go. The moment is finally here. Its finally happened. We have a new Mortal Kombat move in the year 2021. Love it or hate it, it's still good ol fashioned mk fun. It's definitely worth a watch in our opinion. Was there boring parts? Sure. Is the movie without its flaws? No. But its not the worst mk movie to exist.
