The Sneaky Ways You Waste Your Life: Optimize Your Time, Do Less, & Have More Fun

Do you ever feel like you’re behind on the life you’re trying to build, despite constantly being busy? I sat down with Oliver Burkeman, one of the most influential voices on productivity and purpose, to share tools to make more time for the things that genuinely matter so you can do more of what you love to create your dream life.

Oliver unpacks the psychology, sharing a radically different productivity approach: embracing your limitations, choosing what matters, and releasing the pressures holding you back.

    🎧 What you’ll learn:

    • What boredom and discomfort actually signal
    • How to work on your dreams when you only have 10–20 minutes
    • A grounding question to decide what’s truly worth your time
    • How to trust yourself even if you’ve “let yourself down” before
    • A moment-to-moment practice for choosing what life is asking of you now
    • Why your brain clings to the fantasy of a “sorted, future version” of yourself
    • What procrastination is really about (and why it’s not laziness)
    • A simple tool—the Reverse Golden Rule—for becoming kinder to yourself
    • How parenting reshaped Oliver’s relationship to time and control
    • Why daily-ish habits work better than perfect streaks

Homework: Spend 10 minutes doing something you know you want more of in your life—writing, calling someone you love, being outside, reading, creating. Not planning it, not optimizing it. Doing it. This is how change starts.

Nate Berkus's 5 Secrets For Creating a Home You’ll Never Want to Leave

Have you ever walked into someone’s home and instantly felt something—warmth, calm, personality, creativity—and wondered why your own space doesn’t give you that same amazing feeling? In this episode, I sit down with the world’s top interior designer Nate Berkus to unpack the psychology behind creating your dream home—a place you're so proud of you never want to leave.

Nate breaks down practical tips to find your style, avoid trends, and insert more of you into your home, sharing that the real key to great design isn’t money or square footage—it’s your personal history. He also encourages you to shop local, lean into sustainability with vintage or thrifted finds, and enjoy the creative process of finding “that special piece you’ll have forever”.

Whether you're living in a bland rental or renovating a house, this episode gives you practical steps and advice you can use today to have a landing place that makes you feel incredible.

    🎧 What you’ll learn:

    • Why “eclectic style” is often code for “I don’t know what I like”
    • How to figure out who you are at home—and why that’s the start of great design
    • The real reason your rental feels flat (and how to fix it with cheap vintage finds)
    • Why trends exist (hint: they’re not for your benefit)
    • The four principles Nate uses to create personal, elevated, collected spaces
    • How to build confidence in your own taste—even if design intimidates you
    • Why vintage pieces instantly add soul and character (and what should never be vintage)
    • How to combine contrasting styles without creating chaos
    • A simple assignment to instantly sharpen your design direction

Homework: Find a photo of a room you genuinely love. Identify three things you love about the room and three things you don’t. Use the details you love as search terms to start uncovering your design language.

The REAL Science of Spirituality: Proof Of Life After Death & The Key To Feeling Happier

Hear the scientific proof of a connection to something larger than ourselves from the world’s leading expert on the psychology of spirituality, Dr. Lisa Miller. Whether you're a skeptic or have a deeply held belief in a higher power, you'll walk away with a lot to think about.

Dr. Lisa Miller, Columbia University professor and bestselling author of The Awakened Brain, shares that we’re all facing a spiritual crisis linked to our current mental health epidemic. She explains 20+ years of neuroscience research proving that all humans are born with innate brain circuitry for spiritual connection. Ignoring this part of ourselves can lead to feelings of being lost, depression, addiction, loneliness, and poor decision-making. But when we activate our "awakened brain," everything changes.

🎧 This episode is a must if you’ve ever:

    • Felt emotionally disconnected despite doing “everything right”
    • Wondered why traditional mental health tools sometimes aren’t enough
    • Experienced grief, signs, or synchronicities you couldn’t explain
    • Wanted a deeper, science-backed connection to your intuition or higher power

We explore how to rebuild your spiritual awareness without dogma or religion—using simple, brain-based tools anyone can try.

✨ Homework: Try Dr. Miller’s “council of guidance” practice from this episode. Close your eyes, set a question on your heart, and invite in your higher self, ancestors, or spiritual figures. Notice what comes through—and journal about it.

The REAL Science Of Hot Button Health Issues: Tylenol, Food Dyes, MAHA, Raw Milk, and More

If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing everything “right” with your health but still not seeing results, this episode is for you. I sit down with Dr. Jessica Knurick, a PhD in nutrition science and registered dietitian with over 15 years of experience in chronic disease prevention, to uncover why Americans are getting sicker. Spoiler: it’s not just about diet or exercise—it’s about the systems shaping our lives in ways we don’t even realize.

We dive deep into how our food environment, healthcare structure, and political systems were built for profit, not people, and how that reality quietly shapes everything from what ends up in our grocery stores to who can afford preventive care.

We also tackle the viral health debates taking over social media—like the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement, raw milk, and claims about Tylenol and autism—using the latest scientific research to separate fact from fiction.

You’ll leave feeling empowered to take action not just in your own kitchen but in your community.

    🎧 What you’ll learn:

    • Why chronic disease rates are skyrocketing—and how profit-driven systems are quietly fueling the epidemic
    • The surprising truths (and myths) behind viral health debates like raw milk, Tylenol, and the MAHA movement
    • How the U.S. food system prioritizes corporate profits over public health—and what that means for your grocery cart
    • What the MAHA movement gets right about wellness—and where it completely misses the mark

👇 Reflect or share: What’s one health “truth” you’ve rethought after listening to this episode? I’d love to hear your take!

✨ Homework: Pay attention to how your environment—what’s available, affordable, and marketed to you—shapes your health this week. Then ask yourself: If the system changed, how would your health change?
