Jason is a film producer, author, activist and Catholic human rights worker. For the past 25+ years, he has worked to defend the most vulnerable — from the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles to persecuted Christians in Africa, from women in crisis pregnancies to victims of “honor killing” in Iran.
In this episode, Kelsey Reinhardt and Jason Jones discuss the urgent need to defend human dignity in today’s culture, exploring how faith, conscience, and moral conviction shape our response to complex social and political issues. Drawing from their work in advocacy and public engagement, they reflect on why silence is no longer an option and what it means to stand for life and the vulnerable with clarity and courage. Throughout the conversation, Jason and Kelsey examine the role of conscience in public life, the cost of conviction, and how faith informs action in an increasingly polarized world. This discussion invites listeners to think deeply, engage honestly, and consider how moral responsibility should guide both personal and public decision-making. As part of this conversation, Kelsey references her recent article published in First Things, “A Catholic Approach to Immigration,” in which she examines how Catholic teaching calls for both compassion toward migrants and serious engagement with law, order, and the common good. The article provides important context for the themes discussed in this episode. 👉 https://firstthings.com/a-catholic-approach-to-immigration/
