The Magic Project is a nonprofit organization that aims to bring the voices and experiences of marginalized communities to the forefront of social media and community discussion using art and photography as the vehicle to do so. The ultimate goal is to raise awareness of social justice issues. Starting with a focus on Black Canadians with two powerful photoshoots entitled “Black Girls are Magic” and “Black Kings are Magic,” Emma and Kate began to showcase artwork as a form of activism in divisive times.
