13 March 2026, 4:00 am - 1 hour 12 minutesHow to use AI as your coach (without losing yourself) with R.A. Williams
A few months ago, we released an episode about AI and coaching that sparked a LOT of conversation. And many of you admitted (a little sheepishly) that you use AI for emotional processing, brainstorming, or decision-making.
So… we're continuing the conversation.
This time, Kristen sits down with returning guest (and Kristen's client!) R.A. Williams — a London-based coach who has spent the last year building an AI-powered thinking tool based on her own coaching framework.
After our previous episode exposed the dangers of using AI like a therapist, this conversation explores something different:
What if AI could actually make you more self-reliant instead of less?
Let's be honest… AI isn't going away. And if we're going to live in a world where 30–40% of people are already using AI for emotional support, we all need to figure out a healthy way to do that without losing ourselves in the process.
Listen in as we dive into:
- Why most AI tools are designed to be the "hero," and why that's a problem
- How AI can accidentally erode agency… or strengthen it
- Why accountability from a human being will never be replaceable
- What AI can genuinely help you with vs. what it absolutely cannot replace
- And how to make sure you remain the hero of your own life
After you listen, leave a comment and tell us: Have you used AI for emotional support? What has your experience been?
MORE ABOUT R.A. WILLIAMS
R.A. Williams is a currently London-based coach, creator and founder who helps individuals, teams and organisations get unstuck and build what's next. Through her business and strategy coaching practice, RWilliamsCoaching, she works with founders, leaders and pioneers — from award-winning fintechs and cult media brands to two of the world's leading universities — equipping them to think clearly, make confident decisions and move forward with purpose.
Before training as a coach, she worked in Corporate Finance and Strategy Consulting as well as with a Christian non-profit Trust supporting young people. She is also an accredited team coach, facilitator and mediator, a Special Advisor to Meyler Campbell, and the co-founder of KnowledgeX — a community and event series for those who coach founders and investors.

27 February 2026, 5:00 am - 54 minutes 47 secondsSide Chat: Death of the Girlboss
Back in 2016—a full decade ago, somehow—I wrote a blog called Confession: I have no desire to be a #girlboss.
I'm laughing and cringing at the hashtag in the title, but that's what it was like back then! Everything was made better by a hashtag.
And there was a lot to be embarrassed of beyond hashtags, too. In hindsight, the whole girlboss era was pretty cringey. But at the time, it was the height of cool! Which is why I had to "confess" that I didn't want to actually be a girlboss.
So, join us for a brand-new Side Chat where we look back on the 2010s and break down how the entire concept of careers and work has evolved. We get into...
- How hustling and "crushing it" was glamorized 10-15 years ago
- A day in the life of a typical girlboss of that era
- The shift from romanticizing work to romanticizing life, and why it's healthier
- Our predictions for how careers will continue to evolve over the next decade
Whether or not you were plugged in to the girlboss era, there's so much good conversation in this episode about how to have a healthy relationship with your career!
And for more on the topic of your relationship with your career evolving over time, check out one of Rachel's latest Substack posts: How I outgrew, then grew back into, my career.

13 February 2026, 5:00 am - 1 hour 18 minutesBonus Book Club! All the Way to the River by Elizabeth Gilbert
Calling all fellow bookworms, library nerds, and general lovers of literature — it's time for another book club episode of the podcast!
Whenever there are five Fridays in a month, we devote the extra Friday to a book that we can't get enough of.
And wow, we REALLY cannot get enough — and can't stop thinking about — All the Way to the River by Elizabeth Gilbert.
This book is both incredibly popular and intriguingly divisive. People either love it or hate it, which made us all too curious to dive in.
All the Way to the River is a memoir about what happens when two addicts confess their love for each other after one of them has been given a terminal cancer diagnosis. If that sounds heavy — it is! But it's also a fascinating, funny, shocking, WILD ride through all of the highs and lows of loving and losing someone (and also losing yourself, in them).
So, buckle up for a super interesting, fun episode of the podcast! You'll hear us get into...
- Why this book is so controversial, and our take on the controversy
- How Elizabeth Gilbert went from being "that nice lady who wrote Eat Pray Love" to a raging sex and love addict who gave away literally millions of dollars while in the throes of her addiction
- What happened after Liz and her best friend, Rayya Elias, learned that Rayya had six months to live
- The deep insights we got from the minds of two different addicts
- And a lot of wild stories running the gamut from deeply spiritual to boldly criminal
And if you haven't read it, don't let that stop you from listening! There's a ton to learn, whether you plan to read it or not.
Leave a comment after you've listened to let us know what resonated most from this conversation.

16 January 2026, 5:00 am - 56 minutes 1 secondDear Krachel: Help! I accidentally catfished my employer!
Welcome to another episode of Dear Krachel, our advice segment where we answer listener questions about life, career, relationships, existential angst, and anything that helps you become a more whole, fulfilled version of yourself.
This month we answered questions from three listeners, two of which are in what you might call a complete doozy of a situation:
- Ledger Impostress, who was desperate for a job and applied for a bookkeeping position, thinking she'd never get it. She may have (significantly) exaggerated her experience in the interview, too. And now… oops, she has a SENIOR bookkeeping job, has no idea what she's doing, and is frantically studying tax law at night, trying not to get fired. What's a girl to do when she's accidentally catfished her employer?!
- Kallie, who's been unemployed for a year and is reaching the point where it's critical she find another job soon. She knows she needs to be reasonable about her job search criteria, but should she lower her standards even more to account for how terrible the job market feels right now?
- Human Salesperon, who works remotely for an organization that just invested in extremely invasive AI software to monitor their employees—we're talking facial expressions during and between sales calls, any noises they make, and anyone who enters the room while they're working. Should they look for a new job when they make decent money at this one, and given that this kind of software could easily show up at the next job, too?
Come leave a comment after you've listened to share how our advice for these listeners resonated with you!
WANT TO START 2026 ON A HIGH NOTE?
As coaches, one of our favorite things is seeing someone decide to make a change in January and watch how different their life is by the end of the year.
If you like the idea of getting some big momentum going now, at the very top of the year, might we suggest a Power Hour?
It's a 75-minute coaching session where we'll laser-focus on whatever issue is keeping you most stuck. Bonus, you can apply the cost of your Power Hour toward future 1:1 coaching!
Check it out here and we'll be in touch within 24 hours to schedule your session.

2 January 2026, 5:00 am - 1 hour 9 minutesSide Chat: Sharing our most cringeworthy career stories
Happy holidays from Krachel!
In the spirit of the season—and to bring you a little extra joy and levity—we're gifting you this very cringeworthy (for us) and hilarious (for you) episode.
Listen in as, like the Ghosts of Careers Past, we take you back in time and share some of the top moments we gave ourselves "the ick" in our careers. Stories where one of us...
- Accidentally created scandal as a substitute teacher
- Was thrown a themed going-away party after lying about why she was leaving her job
- Got fired from a part-time job for a very dumb reason
- Joined an MLM and had the most awkward basement parties
Come laugh with us! And then share you own cringeworthy tales.
NEED A LITTLE EXTRA SUPPORT THIS HOLIDAY SEASON?
When a new year is just around the corner, a lot of stress, overwhelm, and existential angst tends to rise to the surface.
If you're finding that happening — or trying to prevent it from happening! — then might we suggest a holiday treat for yourself, in the form of a Power Hour?
It's a 75-minute coaching session where we'll laser-focus on whatever issue is keeping you most stuck. Bonus, you can apply the cost of your Power Hour toward future 1:1 coaching!
Check it out here and we'll be in touch within 24 hours to schedule your session.
CHECK OUT THE SMUT FOR HEALING COURSE!
What if the stories you can't stop reading are actually blueprints for the life you want to create?
This question is at the heart of Amy Everhart's new course, Smut for Healing.
And honestly? It's a whole paradigm shift.
Because when you look at your reading patterns—the heroines you're drawn to, the worlds you want to stay in, the relationships that make your heart race—
There's a clear pattern of what you actually want for your own life. Things you might've been too scared or "practical" to admit that you want.
Smut for Healing is 4 weeks of:
- Understanding the radical power of romance/fantasy
- Learning how literature participates in healing
- Translating reading energy into real-world action
- Community with women who GET IT

19 December 2025, 5:00 am - 54 minutes 41 secondsManifesting your ideal life after 40 with Dana Smith
Want to know one of the fears we've heard repeated the most in our 13+ years as coaches?
"It's too late for me to make a change."
Sometimes that sounds like, "I'm too old," or, "I'm afraid I've wasted my life," or, "I've invested too much to start over. I have to keep going even though I'm miserable."
One of our favorite parts about coaching is getting to prove those fears wrong, over and over again. Which is why we had to ask Rachel's client Dana to be our latest "normal person" interviewee.
Dana is the living embodiment of "it's never too late," which might sound corny if it wasn't completely true.
Listen in as Rachel and Dana get into...
- Why Dana resisted her desire to be a true Thriver for a long time, and how embracing that side of herself led to a life of ease and flow.
- The epic journey from being a single woman in her mid-40s desiring marriage and family to not only getting married, but becoming a first-time mom at 47!
- How Dana used her success in one major area of life—finding and marrying her husband in her mid-forties—to "copy/paste" success in her career.
- Her advice for our listeners about how to make huge changes happen in your life, regardless of your age or circumstances.
You're going to love Dana and her story! After you listen, share what resonated with you most in the comments of this episode.
MORE ABOUT DANA
As a recovering perfectionist and self-proclaimed late bloomer, Dana has spent most of her life following the rules and playing it safe. This landed her in a career and life path that was far from fulfilling. She was a serial job hopper for many years only to discover that as a Thriver, her career simply was not a source of fulfillment and that was okay. After working with Rachel as a coaching client about 2 years ago, she learned to confidently embrace her Thriver self and create the work life balance she now enjoys. Twenty years into her career, she appreciates her work and the contributions she makes in her 9-to-5 job while living the life of her dreams as a wife and new mom. In addition to a deep desire for family, she is passionate about health and wellness, personal growth, and relationships, and is a firm believer in the power of intention and manifestation.
Check out the Instagram account Dana mentions in this episode here: @pregnancyover40

21 November 2025, 5:00 am - 1 hour 30 minutesA cautionary tale about using AI as your therapist with Amanda Johnson & Chelsea Jewel
A curious pattern emerged within the last year:
People — usually friends or coaching clients — keep coming to us, almost sheepishly, and "confessing" that they sometimes use AI (particularly ChatGPT) for emotional support.
The thing is … we've used it for emotional support, too! AI has a lot of qualities that make it less messy than your average human.
It's a great listener, it's endlessly patient, and it has access to an infinite amount of knowledge and potential solutions. Plus, using it is (sadly) a LOT cheaper than what you'd pay your average therapist or coach.
But that certainly doesn't make it better than a human mental health professional. As helpful as AI might be, it can be equally as harmful—not all of the friends and clients who came to us ended up having a positive experience with their "robot therapist."
So, we asked two of our coach friends (and former podcast guests!), Amanda Johnson and Chelsea Jewel, to join us for a deep-dive exploration into the murky waters where AI mixes with mental health.
Listen in as we get into...
- How all four of us started out using AI, and how it quickly evolved for each of us
- Why it's easy, even if you're a coach or therapist, to have blind spots when it comes to AI
- How using AI as your therapist can actually bring up MORE trauma
- Our advice about how to interact with AI in an emotionally healthy way
This episode is SO thought-provoking. The questions that we tackle are ones that all of us should be taking seriously in a world where it's increasingly difficult to know what's real!
Leave a comment after you've listened to let us know what resonated most from this conversation.
MORE ABOUT AMANDA
Amanda Johnson is a trauma-informed and somatically trained, certified life coach and reiki master. Her passion lies in the belief that each of our hearts is guiding the way to our most expansive lives - but that to live from the heart, we need to first get in touch with who we really are, not who we've been told to be. This requires an exploration and understanding of our nervous systems, the patterns we have running in our bodies and minds, and how our energy works, so that we can bring ourselves into balance and deeper connection with our intuition. Through her work at Heartspark, Amanda is dedicated to creating a safe space for anyone with a curiosity about themselves to explore how to authentically be in relationship with Self, Sacred Partners and Source.
You can find her at heartsparksoul.com and on Instagram @heartsparksoul
