Are you looking for love, approval, & appreciation? Encore Episdoe

Are you consumed by the need for love, approval, and appreciation?

Has it ever occurred to you that you might not need any of those three things?

Newsflash! Your life can change for the better when you stop looking for things you don't really need! And, guess what else, the only person you need to get these things from is YOU!

Yes, it's true... the search for love, approval, and appreciation is a fast track to an unhappy life and reminds me of what author Byron Katie says: "If I had a prayer, it... If I had a prayer, it would be this: "God, spare me from the desire for love, approval, or appreciation. Amen."

When you stop searching, you can find... yourself! Check out today's episode to learn more!

It's time to cut yourself some slack! Encore Episode

    Are you hard on yourself?

Do you constantly push yourself to be better, do better, know better?

Do you wish you could accomplish more than you get done in a day?

    Are you a taskmaster?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then my advice for you today is to PLEASE cut yourself some slack!

Yes, it's time to ease up on yourself and go easy on yourself. Life is not a race to the grave, it's meant to be enjoyed, explored, and filled with ease. Really!

Plus cutting yourself some slack is a great first step to honoring yourself, your rhythms, your pace, your needs, and your desires... have you ever considered that?

Hopefully, today's episode will help you slow down, chill out, and give yourself the grace you deserve in your life!

25 Ways to Say an Honest No Encore Episode

Saying NO is hard for people. You get so caught up worrying about hurting someone’s feelings or anticipating their reactions, that you compromise yourself over and over again.

How many times have you gone along with something that was not a YES for you just to keep the peace or keep a friend or family member happy?

News flash! You’re not really keeping the peace (and the peace I’m referring to is your own) and I’d also say you’re also being a dishonest friend and/or family member.

Saying an honest no (or yes) ultimately means being TRUE TO YOU without worrying about what the other person may think or how they might respond. It’s about saying what’s true for you at any given moment.

Be sure to check out the freebies on my website, including a downloadable copy of the blog post which inspired today's episode!

What happens when you stop taking things personally? Encore Episode

Have you ever considered how your life could change if you stopped taking things personally?

Have ever even considered not taking things personally?

If you've read Don Miguel Ruiz’s classic book, “The Four Agreements. perhaps you remember this as the second agreement, if not let me remind you with this excerpt:

"Whatever happens around you, don’t take it personally. Nothing other people do is because of you. It is because of themselves. All people live in their own dream, in their own minds; they are in a completely different world from the one we live in. When we take something personally, we make the assumption that they know what is in our world, and we try to impose our world on their world."

When you stop taking things personally, you can literally stop wars (the ones that happen in your mind and in your life when you see everything as personal to you!) It's a pretty amazing shift!

Tune in to find out more!

    Chronic Pain Sucks!

In today’s episode, I share my story of being in chronic pain for over 20 years and how it slowly took over my life no matter how many practitioners, teachers, healers, and doctors I tried or how much money I spent on things like cold packs, heating pads, new mattresses, supplements, classes, ointments, and more.

For me, it got so bad that I believed the next logical step was to start using a wheelchair! It was the only thing left I could think of to deal with debilitating sciatica which made walking and standing extremely painful.

Somehow when I was at the end of all hope, I found the work of Dr. John Sarno. That was the beginning of the end of my chronic pain and I know it can work the same way for you.

You'll hear how finding Dr. Sarno's work completely changed my life and what I did following that to help me become completely pain-free, which was a true miracle.

You can find the books I've mentioned, along with other books that helped me in my bookshop.

And, if you feel you need more, don't hesitate to reach out... I offer Chronic Pain Coaching sessions and am here to help. Book a session today.

How you see your future is way more important than how you see your past.

How you see your future is way more important than how you see your past!

Did you know that how you see your future is much more important than how you see your past? It's true!

For one thing, the past is over... there's no going back and changing anything, while your future is wide open and filled with your potential and possibility, so that's definitely where you want to put your focus!

Today I help you understand the importance of setting yourself up for a bright future by knowing what you want and asking for it! You don't go into a restaurant and tell them to bring just any old thing... you know what you want and place a specific order, which is generally what you get, right? This works the same way. Tune in and find out more!

Don't forget, you'll find great freebies on my website!

The best thing about the past is, it's over! - Byron Katie

Have you ever really thought about this? The past is over! You cannot go back no matter how much you might wish you could and any thoughts you have about it, will not change what happened. But you can have peace about the path when you change the way you think and that's what Katie is reminding us of with this quote.

NOTE: Sorry about the poor sound quality on this one!

Also, a reminder that the next book for the Book Club is "I Need Your Love - Is That True?" by Byron Katie. We're starting on July 15 and if you join now, you'll be automatically entered for a chance to win a 90-minute Facilitated Session of The Work of Byron Katie with me, which is a $150 value.

This book examines a universal, age-old source of anxiety: our relationships with others and Katie helps you question everything you've been taught about love and approval.

NOTE: You can enter the contest without joining the Book Club. For more info and great freebies, click here.
