    Rebecca Lee Crumpler is the first Black woman to officially practice medicine in the US. She was also an author and educator who wrote a book in medicine designed for nurses. We've done an episode on this podcast talking about him and his life and also the injustice brought down on him and his family by a hateful and evil town.
