The Pick and Go Podcast - 2025 - Episode 41

Welcome back to the Pick and Go Podcast! Despite an impressive opening 20 minutes from the All Blacks, England came out swinging, determined to crush their grand slam hopes. What began as a promising display quickly unraveled the All Blacks’ attack looked disjointed, at times even schoolboy-like, while England simply wanted it more.Wales finally broke their 19-game drought with a gritty one-point win over Japan a result that brought much-needed relief and belief back into their camp. Ireland, meanwhile, comfortably put Australia to bed. The Wallabies looked tired, mentally drained, and still feeling the aftereffects of a long and punishing Lions campaign. The All Blacks now face Wales this weekend to close out the northern tour. After a mixed series of performances, fans will be hoping the men in black can finish strong and remind everyone what this team is truly capable of when they find their rhythm.

The Pick and Go Podcast - 2025 - Episode 42

Welcome back to the Pick and Go! It’s the last episode of 2025 after what has been a very long and interesting season, filled with some C-class tipping, surprising results, and a whole lot of unanswered questions. The lads kick things off by being asked the big one: what do they rate the All Blacks out of 10—and why? After what could be considered a just-above-average international season, the ABs showed flashes of what they can do, but also left fans with plenty of uncertainty and inconsistency. How do we trust them going into next year? Have they lost their aura? With the All Blacks’ final game of the season now in the books, the lads dissect the 50 points they put on Wales. Were we satisfied with that? They also dive into a full review of the South Africa vs Ireland test—a match full of drama with multiple yellow cards and a red. Are Australia and Joe Schmidt under some pressure after getting beaten by France to close out their tour? To wrap up this season’s podcast, the lads give out some way-too-early predictions for 2026: who’s going to win Super Rugby, who takes out the NPC, and the tough question of all tough questions—how many games do they think the All Blacks will lose next year?

The Pick and Go Podcast - 2025 - Episode 40

Welcome back to the Pick and Go Podcast! International footy is in full swing as the lads do a full review of the second week of the northern tour. New Zealand were lucky to come away with the win over Scotland thanks to D-mac, with a few cards being dished out over the weekend — is discipline an issue for New Zealand? South Africa put the French team away despite having only 14 men on the pitch for most of the game after a straight red card, and the question is asked: are South Africa playing the best brand of footy right now? As international rugby continues into another week, the lads predict their New Zealand side to take on England this weekend, with a bit of a reshuffle needed due to injuries. Will we see a kicking strategy from England this weekend? The Italians will be looking to carry on their form from last weekend but will be coming up against a very strong South African side. Australia need to bounce back after getting shocked by the Italians last weekend, as they take on the short-priced favourites in Ireland. The lads finish by putting their money where their mouth is for this week’s punt.

Welcome back to the Pick and Go podcast.

The Fortress is still standing as, despite the recent talk about Eden Park streak coming to an end, the All Blacks were too good for South Africa in a wet & windy affair in Auckland.

With the NFL seasons kicking off once again, we wonder which rugby player would make it as an  gridiron great.

We take a trip down memory lane as we look back at the last defeat the All Blacks suffered at Eden Park and what things were like at the time of the last defeat.

So, what were the key turning points between South Africa and New Zealand? Were South Africa underprepared for the weather or did the All Blacks just get the tactics right.

The team now moves to Wellington, which raises the question, why isn’t Wellington, or any other stadium as much as a fortress as Auckland?

We turn our attention to the NPC, where there has been a number of upsets in what has been an un-predictable season so far.
