- 7 minutes 40 secondsWhy Nothing You Achieve Ever Feels Like Enough #704
11 people showed up to the final screening of my documentary in Perth.
I walked to the front of the room, looked out at a lot of empty seats, and instantly felt like a failure.
I was embarrassed. I thought, how could only 11 people show up?
Then I caught myself. Because a year ago, I would have dreamed of flying across the country to have 11 people pay to watch my film.
Same number. Completely different feeling. That's when I realised what was actually happening, and what to do about it.
In this episode I share the exact 3-step shift I made in real time that turned one of the most embarrassing moments of the tour into one of the best nights.
You'll learn:
- Why your wins stop feeling like wins the more successful you get
- How to reframe a failure in real time without lying to yourself about it
- Why your response to a setback is always a choice, and how to make the right one
- What I did that night that the other 4 cities never got to experience
- How to review what went wrong honestly without letting it destroy your confidence
- Why you can be grateful for what happened AND take responsibility for what didn't work
- "Don't let the highs make you think you're better than you are. Don't let the lows make you think you're worse."
This one's for anyone who's had something go sideways and felt the gap between where they are and where they think they should be.

Do Something Today To Be Better For Tomorrow23 August 2026, 9:00 pm - 9 minutes 10 secondsWhy Ambitious Men Win at Work and Lose at Everything Else #703
You hit the goal. You built the business. You made the money.
And then you looked around and realised, something's missing.
Your marriage feels distant. Your mates have moved on. You barely recognise yourself in the mirror. And the next goal is already lined up, because stopping means facing the fact that the last one didn't fill the gap you thought it would.
In this episode I break down why ambitious men win at work and quietly lose everything else, and the mindset shift that changes it.
You'll learn:
- Why achieving big goals can leave you feeling more lost, not less
- What happened when I moved back from professional rugby in France and hit rock bottom
- Why high-achieving men end up feeling like strangers in their own homes
- How I chased a million dollars — got it — and realised it wasn't what I was after
- Why the destination can't be the only place you allow yourself to feel successful
- How I finished the 58 marathons without being defined by the outcome
- How to stay ambitious without sacrificing your marriage, your health, and your mates
This one's for the man who's built something to be proud of, but privately wonders why it still doesn't feel like enough.

Do Something Today To Be Better For Tomorrow17 August 2026, 9:00 am - 7 minutes 6 secondsThis Is Why You Keep Falling Off Track (And How to Stop) #702
You know what you should be doing. You've got goals. You're probably going well in life. But somewhere along the way you dipped, and now the things that used to feel easy feel hard.
You're sleeping in. Skipping the gym. Having that extra beer. Scrolling when you should be doing. And waiting to feel motivated again before you make a move.
That's not how you get out of a rut. In this episode I show you exactly what is.
You'll learn:
- Why ruts don't happen from one big failure — they're built from small choices stacking up
- The dip: why motivation always fades and what to do when it does
- Why waiting to feel ready is the thing keeping you stuck
- The choice you have to make in the moment — and how to make the right one
- How I kept going during the 58 marathons at minus 16 degrees with frostnip
- Why trying to fix everything on Monday never works — and what to do instead
- The one small win to get today that starts building momentum again
This is one of the first things I work through with every client, because until you can get yourself out of a dip, nothing else sticks.

Do Something Today To Be Better For Tomorrow12 August 2026, 9:00 pm - 14 minutes 34 secondsThe 3-Step Framework to Own Your Story and Change Your Life #701
You cannot become the man you want to be until you own the man you've become.
Four years ago a bloke came to me doing FIFO work, seven on, seven off. His marriage was falling apart. He was blaming his roster, his wife, his circumstances. Everything except himself.
In this episode I walk through the exact 3-step framework we used to turn that around, and why owning your story is the only thing that actually changes it.
You'll learn:
- The difference between a victim mindset and a creator mindset (and which one you're living in)
- Step 1: Own what happened — the two questions that force honest self-reflection
- Why "that happened to me" and "that happened for me" lead to completely different lives
- Step 2: Control the narrative — the two brothers story that says everything
- Why you can't control your first thought, but you can control your second
- Step 3: Write the next chapter — who are you becoming from here?
- The one choice to make this week to prove it
I also share the story of a client who was headed for divorce, how we rebuilt his story from the ground up, and where he is four years later.

Do Something Today To Be Better For Tomorrow9 August 2026, 8:00 pm - 12 minutes 33 secondsThe Calendar Lock: How Ambitious Couples Plan Their Week #700
Over the weekend I was called selfish and told my marriage would end in divorce.
All because I went on a 3-hour run.
My wife knew. She supported it. Because we have a system that most couples don't, and in this episode I'm sharing exactly what it is.
It's called the Calendar Lock. One conversation, two calendars, three locks. And it's how Amy and I make sure we both chase big goals, invest in our marriage, and show up for our family, without anyone feeling like they're losing out.
You'll learn:
- Why "equal time" is the wrong goal — and what "agreed time" actually means
- The one 20-minute conversation that plans our entire week
- How to use two calendars to find time for personal goals, your marriage, and family
- The 3 locks: personal time, spousal time, family time — and how to protect all three
- Why one of you needs to lead while the other supports (and how to switch)
- How Amy and I handle seasons where one person's goals take priority
- Why you can't wait for perfect conditions to chase what matters
I also share what happened when I posted about my long run on the internet, and why the people who called me selfish didn't understand what Amy and I had already agreed on.

Do Something Today To Be Better For Tomorrow2 August 2026, 9:00 pm - 13 minutes 33 secondsThe Dad Who's Always There But Never Really Present #699
Yesterday morning I was on a walk with my son Freddie, a moment that's supposed to be just us, and I was scrolling Instagram.
Then I looked up. And there he was.
That moment hit me harder than anything I've read about screen time or presence. Because I know better. And I was still doing it.
In this episode I share the 3-step process I'm now using to actually put the phone down and be present with my family, not just physically there, but mentally there too.
You'll learn:
- Why self-control alone will never fix a phone addiction (and what does)
- How to decide which moments in your day actually matter, and protect them
- The "Brick" — the tool I use to physically lock my phone during family time
- What your phone is actually replacing (and why attaching pain to this changes everything)
- The circle exercise - what are you missing while you're scrolling?
- Why a great life is built one small moment at a time, and how many you're giving away
I also share the Instagram post that stopped me in my tracks, why I've fallen off the rails with this myself, and why I'm going back to the process that works.

Do Something Today To Be Better For Tomorrow26 July 2026, 9:00 pm - 21 minutes 53 secondsWhy Your Marriage Is Failing While Your Business Is Winning #698
Last weekend taught me a huge lesson about marriage, and it started with one rule my wife created that we now never break.
If you keep telling your wife "things will calm down after this busy season," this episode is for you. I've coached men for a decade, business owners, athletes, FIFO workers, and the pattern before every marriage breakdown is the same: work got the best of them, and the family got the leftovers. In this episode, I share exactly how Amy and I protect our marriage while I run multiple businesses, train as an endurance athlete, and raise our young son Freddie.
You'll learn:
- Amy's Rule: the one travel rule that changed how we do work trips as a family
- Why "when work slows down" is a lie ambitious men tell themselves
- How to align your work goals and family goals so they pull you together, not apart
- The calendar test: what your schedule reveals about what you really prioritise
- Why date time with your wife doesn't need to be fancy — it needs to be protected
- How to treat time with your wife like your most important client meeting
- The message my wife sent me that proved all of this works
Ready to stop putting your marriage on hold?
I'm opening a small group cohort of The Locked-In Life Blueprint™ , built specifically for married business owners who want a real finish line on the workday, more presence at home, and a marriage that grows alongside the business instead of paying for it. Spots are limited and it's application only.

Do Something Today To Be Better For Tomorrow20 July 2026, 6:00 am - 22 minutes 52 secondsHow to Rebuild Trust at Home in the Next 30 Days #697
I used to think providing meant working hard and earning good money. Then a mate's wife told me something that stopped me in my tracks, and made me realise I was quietly eroding the trust my own wife had in me, without even knowing it.
In this episode, I break down the three reasons your family might be losing trust in you, why money alone isn't enough anymore, and the simple 30-day process to stack proof that you're the man you say you are.
You'll learn:
- Why your family doesn't care that you're working hard — they care that you keep your word
- The 3 trust leaks draining your relationship at home right now
- Why "money isn't enough" and what your family actually needs from you
- The daily deposit system — how small, consistent actions compound into deep trust
- How to stop overpromising and start under-promising and over-delivering
- Why your family is getting your leftovers (and how to come home with something left)
- The finish line method — how setting a work end time changes everything at home
I also share the honest moment I realised I was doing this to my own wife Amy, even while thinking I was showing up for my family.I’m taking 10 business owners through an 8-week program to build a Protected Week, so work has a finish line and home stops getting the scraps. Do Something Today To Be Better For Tomorrow12 July 2026, 9:00 pm - 14 minutes 49 secondsYour Business Is Stealing Your Life (Here's the Fix) #696
This morning at breakfast, I told my wife I'm locking in my next 45-day fitness challenge. I know how that sounds when you're running a business, married, and raising a young family. But that's exactly why most men never do the things they say they will. They wait for the perfect season. They say "one day." And quietly, that one day fades away.
In this episode, I share the 3-step system I use to stop postponing the life I want, and how you can lock yours in without sacrificing your business, your marriage, or your family.
You'll learn:
- Why busy, successful men are the worst at actually living their life list
- How to build your Life List and choose the one thing to lock in first
- The Calendar Lock — how to make it real before life talks you out of it
- How to have the hard conversation with your partner before you commit
- How to protect your time when work keeps trying to steal it
- Why "one day" is the most dangerous phrase in a man's vocabulary
- The exact process I used before the 58 marathons — and what I'm doing next
This is for the bloke who's built something in business, shows up for his family, but quietly knows he keeps kicking his own life down the road.Take the "Life Performance" Scorecard: HERE

Do Something Today To Be Better For Tomorrow5 July 2026, 9:00 pm - 1 hour 1 minuteHe Lost His Sister to Suicide. Now He Uses Horses to Help Men Find Their Way Back | Dan Gillen #695
Dan Gillen grew up working cattle stations in the Northern Territory, a life of ringers, rodeos, and motorbikes. At 17, he accidentally ran over a man who had fallen asleep drunk in the middle of a dark road. At 25, he lost his sister Tiff to suicide. Out of both of those moments came a calling.
Today Dan is a counsellor and equine-assisted therapist operating near Maryborough on the Fraser Coast in Queensland. He uses horses, who mirror their clients' emotions in real time, to help people understand their nervous systems, regulate their emotions, and finally feel things they've been suppressing for years.
In this episode, Lachlan Stuart and Dan Gillen have one of the most honest, raw, and important conversations in the Man That Can Project's history.
This episode covers:
- Dan's life on the cattle stations, and how it led to equine therapy
- The accident at 17 and the unresolved trauma he didn't deal with for years
- The loss of his sister Tiff to suicide, and how it changed the direction of his life
- Why men wait until rock bottom to ask for help, and the true cost of that
- The Window of Tolerance: what it is, how to recognise when you've left it, and how to come back
- Fight, flight and freeze, which one you go to under pressure and why
- How horses mirror human emotion in real time, and why that makes them powerful therapeutic tools
- How to name what you're actually feeling in your body, and why that skill changes relationships
- The documentary about Tiff and the impact of suicide on the Fraser Coast community

Do Something Today To Be Better For Tomorrow2 July 2026, 5:00 am - 9 minutes 48 secondsThe 2-Minute Habit That Changes How You Walk Into Your House #694
You walk in the door. Your body's home, but your head is still at work, the invoices, the tough conversation, the subby who didn't show up. Your wife and kids can feel it, even if nothing's been said.
In this episode, I break down why home feels tense after work, even when nothing's actually wrong, and the simple framework I use to make sure that when I walk through the door, I'm actually there.
You'll learn:
- Why your family can tell when you're mentally still at work
- The "Driveway Reset" — a 2-minute process to change your state before you walk inside
- The 3 questions to ask yourself before you get out of the car
- Why leaving work stress at work isn't selfish, it's necessary
- How the first 15 minutes home sets the tone for your whole evening
This one's especially for trade business owners running a $500K–$2M business who've built something incredible but feel like it's costing them the life it was supposed to create. You don't have to choose between the business and being present at home. This framework helps you have both.
