- 44 minutes 27 secondsPlayer-by-player look at Oregon’s defensive line room
On this edition of the Autzen Audibles Podcast, DuckTerritory’s Erik Skopil and Matt Prehm continue their position-by-position preview of the Oregon football roster with a closer look at the Ducks’ defensive line room entering the 2026 season.
After working through several offensive position groups, the series now shifts to the defensive side of the ball and starts in the trenches. Skopil and Prehm go player-by-player through Oregon’s defensive line, discussing the key returners, expected contributors, young players pushing for roles, and the overall expectations for a group that should be one of the most important units on the roster.
Oregon enters the season with high-end talent and proven experience up front, headlined by veteran pieces such as A’Mauri Washington and Bear Alexander. The Ducks also have several rotational options and younger players who could factor into the depth chart as the coaching staff looks to build a reliable group capable of holding up over the course of a Big Ten schedule.
The discussion focuses on how Oregon’s defensive line can impact the entire defense. If the Ducks can consistently control the line of scrimmage, generate pressure, and create disruption against the run, it should make life easier for the linebackers and secondary behind them.
The episode also dives into the biggest questions facing the room, potential breakout candidates, and how Oregon’s defensive front could shape the ceiling of the 2026 defense.

Oregon’s 2027 recruiting class added major momentum Monday, and the Autzen Audibles Podcast broke it all down.
On the latest episode, DuckTerritory’s Erik Skopil and Matt Prehm discussed Oregon’s three newest verbal commitments — defensive lineman Achilles Reyna, tight end George VanSandt and wide receiver Malachi Garlington — and what the additions mean for the Ducks’ overall recruiting outlook.
The trio of commitments helped Oregon jump into the Top 10 of the 2027 Team Recruiting Rankings. The Ducks now sit No. 8 nationally with 17 verbal commitments, 224.75 total points and an 89.29 average per commit. Oregon is just 0.12 points behind Clemson for the No. 7 spot, giving the Ducks a realistic path to continue climbing as the summer recruiting calendar heats up.
Skopil and Prehm also discussed the significance of Oregon landing two in-state prospects in VanSandt and Garlington. VanSandt, a Central Catholic tight end, was previously committed to Arkansas before reopening his recruitment. Garlington, a Nelson High School wide receiver, earned an Oregon offer after a strong camp performance before briefly committing to Washington State and later flipping to the Ducks.
Reyna, a massive 6-foot-8 defensive line prospect from Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, had long been viewed as an Oregon lean before making his commitment official.9 June 2026, 5:23 pm - 46 minutes 14 secondsAutzen Audibles Podcast: Oregon’s QB and RB rooms kickoff new position preview series5 June 2026, 5:37 pm
