Pastor Dan spoke on tithing.
What do we tend to pray for? How do we feel when we don’t get it, at least, not in the way we think we should? How are we affected when it feels like God is silent?Â
What do we spend our time on? Much of our time is invested in good things, but are there things we've over-invested our time in? Would God scold us like he did Martha? Would commend us like he did Mary? This week we take a look at 'Time'.
What does it mean to pick up our cross? What does God have for us? Are we excited about that? What if it makes us uncomfortable?
What burdens do we carry? What hope do we have of dealing with them ourselves? What hope do we have?
Our hope lies in an empty tomb.
Jesus' disciples had high expectations of what the future would look like when their teacher was sitting on a donkey, headed into Jerusalem. Did they get what they anticipated? What expectations have we put on our future? On God? How will we respond when things don't happen in the way that we anticipate? What does all of this have to say about God's love for us?
Why does Jesus quote Psalm 31 by saying "Into Your Hands I Commit My Spirit?" What confidence can we have in these words of Jesus?
What does Jesus mean when he says 'it is finished'? What hope is that for us?
Was Jesus truly forsaken for us? Why? What is going on with these words of Jesus?
Two thieves hung next to Jesus, one on his right, and one on his left. Though they started from similar places, one had a change of heart.
What happened so that Jesus responded with: "Today you will be with me in paradise"?
What is forgiveness? Who is forgiveness for? Do we abuse forgiveness? Pastor Dan explores these questions in today's sermon.
