Eagle & the Lion iTunes | Spotify | Amazon Music | BandCamp

    Foreign streets you walk
    On your way to madness
Subtle smiles you meet along the way
The bird will talk expose your secret’s address
She’s had it in for you since your wedding day

    They held you underground
    And made you swallow wine
    Spiked with turpentine
And turned your walls to snakes
    Revealed your destiny
    Divined with your third eye

That on the inside there was still sunshine

What kind of lion would roar then flee so quickly
And by your side a wounded wolf and sheep
No sense to hide their wisdom trump your trickery
    Step outside your destiny awaits

    They bound you from behind
    And took your staff away
    The Eagle and the Lion
    Tossed in the flames
As the smoke rose from the fire
    You breathed it in again
    Your tears turned into shapes
The bed where she still sleeps
    The arrow plunging deep
    The diamonds set around
    The circle of the crown
You had to fall to find
That on the inside there was still sunshine

Exploring the stories behind the songs.

    Perique Video | Audio

We got lost in the land of Perique
    There’s a man walking by
    Better cross your legs honey
    And reach for the sky
There’s nobody here and nothing to say
You can find your own pleasure without him anyway
Throw up some medieval medicine to cure what ills you
Got lost in the land of Perique
    We were just passing through

You went looking for a pen
    With the road apple guide
    Watch the ceiling fan spin
    While the cool air divide
    And the hillcrest is broken
    Where the almond trees cry
Tell me something to make you feel better
    After her evil eye
Throw up some medieval medicine to cure what ills you
Got lost in the land of Perique
    We were just passing through

    For the breakfast treat visit
    I’m taking my time
All the memories you sit with
    Are erasing the line
When terror of the world has eaten your mind
Come to me with your bad dreams
We can turn on the light
Throw up some medieval medicine to cure what ills you
Got lost in the land of Perique
    We were just passing through
