Luke 22:31-34, 54-62, & John 21:1-17
In today’s episode, we follow one of Jesus’ closest friends—Peter. From the quiet upper room, to the dark courtyard, and finally to breakfast on the beach, we’ll hear how Peter made a big promise to Jesus… and then broke it. But the story doesn’t end there.
After Jesus rises from the dead, He lovingly gives Peter a second chance. This is a beautiful story of sadness, forgiveness, and hope—a reminder that Jesus never gives up on us, even when we mess up.

John 19, Matthew 28, Luke 23, & 1 Corinthians 15:55
In this powerful Easter episode, we continue our journey following the sorrow of the cross to the joy of the resurrection. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus lovingly bury Jesus, and guards are posted at the tomb. But on the third day, something incredible happens—Jesus rises from the dead! With awe and joy, the women discover the empty tomb and meet Jesus alive again.
Children are reminded that the cross was not the end—Jesus conquered sin and death, just like He said He would. Because He lives, we have forgiveness and hope!

I want to respect each listener's ages and levels of understanding, so I have adapted some of this for the needs of our audience. Please go back and read the scriptures yourselves to include what is appropriate for your family.
We begin our story with Jesus speaking with Pilate and end with the crucifixion.
The kids will hear:
-The meaning of the torn veil (listen to episode #281 to go further)
-This was God's plan; there were no mistakes, no surprises. Jesus chose to lay down His life, and by doing so, Jesus took the weight of every sin, past, present, and future.
-It's not always as it seems. The cross is not the end of the story. We have hope because of what happened 3 days later!

Matthew 26:36-56
We continue our Easter series. I respect each listener's ages and levels of understanding, so I have adapted some of these for the needs of our audience. Please go back and read the scriptures yourselves to include what is appropriate for your family.
I will also encourage you to listen to all of the episodes in this Easter series in order, as the stories build upon themselves. It starts at Easter part 1.
This story begins in the garden of Gethsemane and ends with Jesus being arrested. We remember that Jesus could have whispered 1 word and 100’s of angels would have appeared to rescue him BUT he didn’t do this. Why?
Because He chose to. He chose to obey God b/c he loves God the father!!!! God’s plan had been there all along to rescue us b/c he loves us that much!
The children will be reminded that Jesus is always in control and that He loves them very much!

This week, we’re pausing our Mark series to walk through five special Easter episodes—from the Last Supper to the Resurrection—all released together so your family can experience the full story. And remember, just like rereading a favorite story, each time you listen you may discover something new God wants you to see.
Mark 2:13–17 & Romans 3:10
In today’s episode, we continue our journey through the Gospel of Mark and meet a man named Levi, a tax collector whose life changed the moment Jesus said two simple words:
“Follow me.”
But what happened next surprised the Pharisees. Instead of avoiding sinners, Jesus sat down and shared a meal with them.
When the Pharisees saw this, they asked a question that still matters today:
Why would a holy teacher eat with sinners?
We unpack what Jesus means when he said “ “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Scripture: Mark 2:1–12
Jesus returns to Capernaum and a massive crowd gathers so tightly packed that there isn’t even room outside the door. While Jesus preaches the Word, four friends arrive carrying a paralyzed man—so desperate to get him to Jesus that they climb onto the roof, dig through it, and lower their friend down right in front of Him.
But instead of healing the man first, Jesus says something surprising: “Son, your sins are forgiven.” This becomes the beginning of controversy because the teachers of the law know that only God can forgive sins. Jesus responds by showing that He has authority on earth to forgive sins, and then proves it by commanding the man to stand, pick up his mat, and walk home.
This story reminds us that Jesus cares about our bodies and our needs, but our greatest need is to be forgiven and made right with God—something Jesus accomplished through His death and resurrection.

In this episode, we continue our journey through the Gospel of Mark and hear the powerful story of a man with leprosy who came to Jesus and begged, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”

Scripture: Mark 1:29–39
Jesus leaves the synagogue and goes to Simon and Andrew’s home—where Simon’s mother-in-law is sick with a fever. Jesus comes close, takes her hand, and heals her immediately. That evening, the whole town gathers at the door, and Jesus heals many and drives out demons. Then, while it’s still dark, Jesus goes to a quiet place to pray. When the disciples say, “Everyone is looking for you!”, Jesus explains His mission: to go to the nearby villages and preach the good news.
Big Idea: Jesus is compassionate—and Jesus has a mission.
