In August of 2013, Rebecca Rogers shot and killed her husband, Jason, of 14 years 3 times - twice in the back, once in the head.  She claimed she acted in self-defense.  Amid strong public support and lack of a deep dive investigation, Rebecca eventually would plead guilty to manslaughter and serve less than 2 years in prison.  The case was pretty open and shut...unless you watch her interrogation.  After I listened to her recount her "harrowing" tale, I came away believing this lady got away with murder.  There isn't very much in the way of information about this case...it wasn't even really dramatic enough to find its way onto an episode of Dateline or 20/20.  And we are not going to be listening to the interrogation in any of these episodes.  But there is so much to talk about when it comes to what Rebecca said that strongly points to this having been way more than a manslaughter case...to me, this was murder.

On the morning of January 25, 2018, the lifeless body of 71 year old retiree Alan Abrahamson was found shot to death in a large open field in Palm Beach Garden, Florida.  At first glance, his death appeared to be self-inflicted, but the problem with that is when they searched around and underneath Alan's body, there was no gun to be found.  So, this had to have been at the hands of somebody else.  But who?  And why is it Alan appeared to be so at peace when he died?  If someone was chasing after him to shoot him, how is it he appeared as though he simply laid down and peacefully went to sleep?  It had detectives scratching their heads...until one of them remembered seeing a case similar to this on CSI... On December 5, 2008, 74 year old self-proclaimed "art dealer to the stars" Cliff Lambert failed to show up at the annual Winter Festival of Lights Parade in Palm Springs.  His friends were concerned, but not overly concerned because it wasn't unusual for Cliff to dip in and out of communication with his friends periodically.  But after a few days, his close friend, Eddie Mullican, couldn't help but wonder where Cliff was, as something didn't feel right.  So Eddie reported him missing.  While the investigation was a little slow to get going. But, just before the New Year, when the detective assigned to Cliff's case received a call informing him that a Nepalese Prince was attempting to sell Cliff's home and this real estate agent did a quick Google search to discover Cliff had actually gone missing from Palm Springs, it sent the investigation into high gear.  And what became of this case was a more than decade long odyssey involving an eclectic group of conmen out to get their hands on Cliff's fortune, which consisted of a very expensive and precious collection of artwork that Cliff proudly hung from the walls of his home...at least that's what he told people.  What happened to Cliff Lambert?

On Father's Day here in the United States two summers ago...it was Sunday, June 18, 2023 when news broke that a ship that departed the coast of Newfoundland had lost communication with a manned submersible it had towed out to the Titanic wreckage dive site and that if failed to resurface at its planned time of 3 p.m.  When it was reported that the submersible, named Titan, had a supply of oxygen that would last about 96 hours, the majority of the world became transfixed on the search and rescue efforts as time ticked away.  While most were openly hopeful the passengers would be found alive, experts in the manned submersible community quietly understood those 5 souls were never coming back.
