When you have a decision to make, how do you decide? Do you just go with the flow or is there some kind of filter that you have, maybe some certain guidelines? Do you have anything that is non-negotiable in your life, say... “I’m a Razor Back so I can never root for the Role Tide.” “I’m a dad, so I have to make every decision with my wife and kids in mind.” “I’m a follower of Christ, so if all people matter to God, all people matter to me!” If we are to make good, wise decisions at the crossroads of life, it is important for us to have some criteria, some reasons, some core values that would make us make this decision VERSUS that! In this Covid Season, everyone has been facing a greater amount of pressure as they are being put into situations that they would rather not deal with. As we navigate this season, big problems or complex situations look insurmountable and overwhelming- just look at stories in the bible such as Job, Hannah and Jesus and the hard seasons or trials they faced. But with the help of a simpler approach we can go Back to Basics and can look at how God strengthens, sustains, and draws us closer to him. He includes us in his redemptive work, and brings glory to our Lord, Jesus Christ. Join us beginning, June 7, as we go Back to Basics and dive deeper into the tales of trials and triumphs and learn how to lean on God in the trials that we are facing right now.

The mission of Red Letter Challenge (RLC) is to help people live more like Jesus. Sadly, when people think of Jesus-followers it is a far cry from who Jesus actually is. After all that Jesus has done for us, we cannot be content with the picture and representation that we are sharing. We must change the story and perception of who Jesus is. At RLC, we believe that if people truly met the real Jesus, they would really fall in love with Him.

So how do we change the story that we are telling?

We go back to Christ’s words. You know, those red letters in your Bible. It turns out he had a lot to say to His followers about what we are called to do and how we are called to live.

The RLC is unique because it takes Christ’s literal words and gives you practical daily challenges based on those words. The RLC will give you targets to shoot for to help you measure how you are practically following after Him. RLC believes that Jesus followers want to be the best Jesus followers that we can be not out of obligation, but out of gratitude for what Jesus has done for us!
