Kedushin 29a says that “A father is obligated to do the following for his son: to circumcise him, to redeem him if he is a first born, to teach him Torah, to find him a wife, and to teach him a trade. Others say: teaching him how to swim as well.” Well, according to head-counselor Darone Ruskay, that list ignores a few of the other important things that parents need to teach. And in this episode, he reflects on the importance of teaching B & N to ride a bicycle, and the experience of teaching them how to do just that.

Every camp has a dress-code. For some, you have to wear a white shirt and blue shorts on Friday’s, for others you have to wear the iconic orange t-shirt every day of camp. At #AbbaCamp we are a bit more lax, and we primarily like to wear superhero shirts. But, the counselors really need to wear something special. In this episode of #AbbaCamp, head-counselor Darone Ruskay talks about the experience of taking N & B on a field-trip to Rye Playland last summer, and seeing a camp group where the counselors had the most amazing staff shirts.
