    S3 E2 - Osmar Milito, by Madlib

Season 3 episode 2 has me talking a lot about the music of Brazil as we look at Madlib's sample of Osmar Milito and Quartete Forma's "America Latina" for the song Raid by Madvillain (MF DOOM, Madlib) and M.E.D. Happy Thanksgiving!

S2 E10 - Cos, by Dan The Automator

This week, we look at the unique style of Dan The Automator with his sampling of Cos' "Ixelles" for the trip-hop song "Sunshine" from his project with Prince Paul, Handsome Boy Modeling School. That was a mouthful. Please enjoy learning about a cool lesser-known band and a quirky record producer in this season 2 finale.

S2 E9 - Beach House, by The Weeknd

This week, we look at one of my favorite stories of the last few years of sampling, how The Weeknd producer Zodiac/Jeremy Rose helped make the career of R&B singer Abel Tesfaye, who proceeded to do nothing else like his initial release and disappoint us all. That's right, it's the House of Balloons episode, discussing the song "The Party" and its sampling of Beach House's song "Master Of None". This drama-filled episode is one of my favorites I've ever produced.

S2 E3 - Akira Ifukube, by Pharoahe Monch

This week, we stomp through the creation of Pharoahe Monch's "Simon Says" and how the legal fallout from a sample from Akira Ifukube's "Gojira tai Mosura" from the 1992 film Godzilla vs. Mothra changed the fortunes of the young rap artist's album "Infernal Affairs".
