What I Liked About This Episode
- Clear, Catchy Hook: Right from the start, Erin Ollila delivers a sharp opening that instantly tells me what the show and episode are about. Within the first 43 seconds, I knew exactly what was on offer—a huge plus in podcasting!
- Relevant and Concise Introduction: The episode kicks off with a summary that pulls me in without getting lost in the weeds. The intro isn’t overloaded with fluff or irrelevant self-promotion, which made me want to keep listening.
- Audience Connection: I love how Erin Ollila addresses the listener directly (“Hey, friends” althought I would prefer singular, "Hey Friend"), making things feel personal and authentic. It sets a welcoming tone that’s easy to connect with.
- Immediate Value: Erin Ollila quickly outlines what NOT to do (abandoning old SEO work for new AI optimization or ignoring changes entirely) and sets up the value she’ll deliver. That makes me curious to hear the actual solution.
- Smooth Flow into Useful Content: There’s no wasted time—the show transitions seamlessly from intuition and context to actionable information I can use.
- Credible, Trustworthy Presence: Erin Ollila backs up her claims with industry experience and sounds genuinely invested in delivering accurate, data-driven advice. I trust what she’s saying.
- Good Audio Quality: I didn’t feel like I was listening to someone in a tunnel or struggling with poor production. Everything was crisp, clear, and professional.
- No Overbearing Ads or Self-Promotion: I appreciated not being smothered with ads or “pimping” products in the first few minutes. The focus stayed on valuable content.
- Engaging Teasers: Erin Ollila uses smart episode teasers (like previewing the next episode’s topic) to build anticipation and keep me coming back for more.
- Honest Feedback: At the end, I found myself wanting to subscribe and add it to my marketing channel—which, to me, is the real test of a show’s impact!

What I Liked About This Episode
The opening had a great flow, and I loved the music. I appreciated the heads-up on AI-generated voices. I knew exactly where I was going as the episode progressed.
What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing
I'm undecided about the AI reading the scripture. It reminded me of Yul Brenner. These weren't horrible robotic voices (but reading the King James Version doesn't help—even when a human reads that version, you really have to pay attention).
This is going to be one of those things that you either like, or you don't. You might be like me, and be on the fence. I think over time, you get used to the AI accent.

I liked the description. I loved the topic (Terry Fox)
What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing
Your audio quality sounds like you used a noise reduction and went too far. I even took off my headphones and listened through computer speakers.
When your audio quality distracts the listener from what you are saying to how it sounds, that's a problem.
This is an easy fix. If you are using a built into the laptop computer check out the Samson Q2u https://supportthisshow.com/q2u and find a quiet room
The music at the beginning either needs to fade is as you are wrapping up (and then fade out as the story starts, or just lose it and use the WHOOSH which was quite louder than the rest of the show. All of these are easy to solve.

What I Liked About This Episode
I love the concept. The music reminded me of early Joe Jackson (Mad at You)
What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing
I don't think I needed the play-by-play of where we are going. Can you just roll in sound quality, etc into the story of what you think? I've never seen car talk, so maybe this just isn't for me.
For me, I don't need or trust stats (i.e. Listen notes). Even without Listen notes, I want to know what YOU think about the shy and why YOU think it's good.
I don't think I'm the target audience for this show.
P.S. Your show is not appearing in Apple.
There was also a breath issue that once I noticed, I couldn't unhear it.

What I Liked About This Episode
You did a nice job of starting the conversation by showcasing that we are already using AI, and it allowed us to slowly tie our current knowledge to future knowledge.
In the end, when I pressed stop, I wanted to hear the rest of the episode.
What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing
The music is a bit too loud on the intro and your microphone is a bit muffled compared to the rest of the audio.
Also, it seems like you used some sort of noise reduction tool and went one notch too many so you slightly sound like you're underwater.
BONUS: You should treat every episode like a blog post. The "all in one" podcast players have no SEO value, make it hard to share a single episode and reduce the ability to add keywords to your website.
These are all easy to fix. Get free unlimited coaching at https://learn.schoolofpodcasting.com

What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing
Move the "join the community" to after the story
Avoid the "tell us a little bit about yourself" instead take the answer and use it for your edited introduction.
Use universal links like birthasweknowitpodcast.com/community instead of pointing to Facebook.

What I Liked About This Episode
It's from a former NPR employee so lots of cool mood music and great recording. It's warm
What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing
For me NPR always takes forever to get to the good point, and they fall in love with production and irrelevant details. In this episode, I'm sorry to hear you lost your job (I've been there), but you didn't give me a reason to care. Then you took a much longer time than needed to get to the actual show.

Decent artwork
What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing
The audio quality on this show is awful. The first pre-roll sounds like it's in a fishbowl. Then it's followed by better audio that is crippled by plosives that rattle your tonsils. For something with Tom Brady associated with it, this doesn't cut it.

What I Liked About This Episode
I loved the intro helped me feel confident in saying, "this show is for me." I loved "banish distraction" and later "start loving Monday."
I thought they did a good job of letting me know what was coming in bite-size chunks so I could consume it and think, "OK, but what about???" Then they would give me a little nugget.
Their is a hint of selling going on (Life changing is not something I say often in normal life) but I know the goal is to help sell their Life Focus Planning System, but it wasn't too "Salesy."
What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing
Courtney's microphone is just a bit too brite. Applying a small amount of De-esser will help that.
Also you have Stitcher and Google buttons on your site and both of those are gone.

You are going DEEP into AI, so you have found your niche, and those who want a deep dive have found a home.
What I Thought Could Use Some Polishing
The housekeeping didn't seem necessary (or could've been shortened) as you just introduced the guests, which you then did again. The music at the beginning of the show is too long. Have someone explain what the show is about and the topics for the episode.
Your domain needs explaining which will drive you nuts years from now, "No it's thursdai not thursday" so buy both domains and point them at your website.
I found it odd that you would make a guest wait an hour to be interviewed.
