Now that I've gotten through some of my musings on political thinking and the problem with letting it overtake your thoughts, lets move along. I start this episode with an explanation of the nation state model, but then move to an important question - why go from one place to another?

I know everything has been about the children at the border, and this is too.... sort of. I want to talk about the way political thinking clouds our judgement and I try to spell that out over the next two episodes. We're going to start with something I wrote.
