What does the Bible really say about pride, and how can pride quietly destroy our relationship with God and the people we love most? In this Bible study, we take a deeper look at the sin of pride—a heart problem that can produce arrogance, selfishness, stubbornness, anger, contention, unforgiveness, and spiritual independence from God. Proverbs 15:25 gives us a sobering warning: "The LORD will destroy the house of the proud." This powerful statement should cause every Christian to stop and examine his or her heart. Pride can place our ego on the throne, damage marriages and families, and prevent us from saying, "I was wrong. Please forgive me." But there is hope. God gives grace to the humble.
