El 28 de abril de 2021 se dio inicio a un nuevo estallido social en Colombia. En medio de la pandemia, el Gobierno de Iván Duque, anunció una reforma económica llamada "Ley de Solidaridad Sostenible", que a través del aumento de impuestos a personas naturales, venía a solucionar distintos problemas económicos del país. Pero este proyecto no tuvo buena acogida entre la población y desde aquel momento, las calles de las principales ciudades colombianas han estado repletas de manifestantes que demandan justicia social. En este episodio de Plaza Carnaval, conversamos con Myriam Ojeda, Consejera Nacional de paz por Europa para les colombianes en el exterior, sobre las implicancias de este nuevo estallido social y los posibles caminos de salida del conflicto.

Around a quarter of a million Latin Americans live in the UK, with over half (145,000) in London. The Latin American population is one of the fastest growing migrant populations in London, with two-thirds having arrived since 2000. Official data on this group is not enough, limiting the ability of policymakers to plan appropriate services and make targeted policy interventions. También analizamos el potente discurso de Olly Alexander, de la banda Years and Years, quien en el pasado Festival de Glastonbury se refirió a la historia LGBTQ+ y los desafíos del futuro. Y al término te contamos de 7 eventos paralelos al gran Parade en el centro de Londres, que se estarán desarrollando en el fin de semana del Pride.
