Over the weekend, it was confirmed that the Premier League met to discuss the potential implementation of a series of new rules, designed to improve the game and stamp out some of the most annoying tendencies that spoil the current offering.
A new offside rule, sanctions for throw-ins, MORE power for VAR's and a potential solution for time-wasting through fake injuries were detailed, with trials in Canada in the works for the near future.
Niall and Marley are on today's FSD to chat through the potential new rules and whether they'd be accepted by a Premier League audience.

Madness this weekend in the Premier League! Goals galore and even a save of the season contender to discuss on today's pod. From Burnley having hope snatched from them by VAR (and maybe their top flight status too), to Newcastle denied by Pickford's insane stop and their own woeful defending, and Arsenal keeping up the pressure at the top which sparked a massive debate about corners...

Sunday was meant to be a potential banana skin for Arsenal as they went to North London rivals Spurs, led by new manager Igor Tudor, for a North London Derby with important implications.
As it turned out, it was Eberechi Eze who was the star of the show for Arsenal, scoring his fourth and fifth goals for the Gunners against Spurs this season in a 4-1 win, with Victor Gyokeres also helping himself to a brace.
Elsewhere, Manchester City beat Newcastle for the third time in four attempts this season, thanks to a Nico O'Reilly double and Nottingham Forest were unlucky to lose in the dying stages to Liverpool, who just about kept up their Champions League chase.
Marley and Joel are on hand to discuss all the talking points from another entertaining weekend of Premier League action.

Arsenal blew a 2-0 lead away at bottom side Wolves on Wednesday night to cede further ground in the title race, meaning Man City can now win the league if they win all their remaining games.
On the other side of Europe, Newcastle crushed Azerbaijan champions Qarabag 6-1 to all but seal their place in the last 16, thanks to an Anthony Gordon quadruple and some horrendous defending from the hosts.
Elsewhere in the Champions League, Benfica's 1-0 loss to Real Madrid was overshadowed by Vinicius Junior alleging that he was racially abused by a Benfica defender in the aftermath of his stunning winning goal. Jose Mourinho didn't help the situation with his post-match comments and UEFA have a delicate situation on their hands.
Niall, Joel and Marley discuss the lot on today's FSD!

Arsenal are still in 4 competitions. Top of the Premier League, through in the Champions League, drawn against lower league opposition in the FA Cup, and in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City. But how many can Mikel Arteta's side win? Niall and Marley tackle that question on today's podcast, as well as discussing whether Vitor Pereira's appointment as Nottingham Forest boss will be a success.

A packed FSD sees Niall, Joel and Marley discuss Tottenham's decision to appoint Igor Tudor as Thomas Frank's replacement until the end of the season, Scott Parker being on thin ice at Burnley after an embarrassing FA Cup exit and whether VAR is really necessary in the FA Cup.

Another day, another manager sacked at Nottingham Forest. Evangelos Marinakis is at it again and is now looking for his FOURTH manager this season, after Forest drew 0-0 with Wolves on Wednesday night.
Niall and Marley jump on an emergency podcast to react to the news, with former Wolves boss Vitor Pereira the front-runner for the job at the City ground.
Was Dyche harshly treated? How has Edu not been sacked yet? And what on Earth does it take to appease the big Greek megalomaniac?

Thomas Frank has been sacked by Tottenham Hotspur after another home defeat in midweek, as Newcastle United secured an important win in the Capital.
Speaking of Frank's, Man United fan Frank Ilett will have to wait at least five more weeks for a haircut as Michael Carrick's side failed to beat West Ham at the London Stadium, ending their four-match winning streak.
Joel and Marley are on hand to discuss all the headlines and more on today's FSD.
