Toga In The Morning

Grisha and Sasha Kramer

Toga In The Morning is a podcast featuring two brothers who review movies, drink, play improv games we invented, drink, check in with the bandleader Bjork, and drink.

  • Episode 301: Revenge of the Game of Thrones Strikes Back
The boys are back with a splash as they make podcast history by being the first podcast to reach their third season. To celebrate, they're bringing back fan-favorite misanthrope Bruce Greenwood, who has a little bone to pick with the recent adaptation of Game of Thrones. Will he and the boys work out their creative differences? Will Bjork stop at nothing in her quixotic quest to conquer the world? Sponsors include: Gin, Alan's Wrenches, and Johnson's Gas Station BPs.

  • Episode 405: Hobbes versus Shaw
With bandleader Björk still AWOL, our intrepid co-hosts get philosophical with the Fast and Furious spin off Hobbs and Shaw. There is much consternation over the lack of walkie talkies, disagreements about whether the bad guy is an AI or a person, and some nonsense about 12 hour bass lines. Grisha experiences pancake themed wish fulfillment and turtleneck themed dissatisfaction. Obviously this one is for the philosophy majors out there.

  • Episode 403: Sorceress and Other Tangents
The boys finally get to the movie we've all been waiting for: 1982's 1970s fantasy epic Sorceress. There's a terrible goat man, a terrible goat man, bad ADR, a terrible goat man, and more.

Fresh off their wildly successful one-episode season, the boys are back in style as they dissect Star Wars Episode IX: Rise of Skywalker Returns! There is no meandering and they get straight to the point, pontificating to their own mad rhythms with a overabundance of finality, making this the definitive review of the most recent Star Wars release. Part 1.

  • Episode 207: Babe 4: Thunderpig In Da Hood
The boys get the show off to a cracking start with a rousing game of Bury the Banana, Dodge the Banana. Then it's time to get down to business as the boys make a hard left from pugaliscious to pigaliscoius when they review the most avant garde entry to date in George Miller's Mad Max franchise, Babe 2: Pig in the City. There is much rejoicing.

  • Episode 205: The Penultimate Bene Gesserit
Toga In The Morning returns with down-home, off-the-cuff, relaxed introduction as the boys freestyle conversation like it's the podcasting X-Games. Then, special guest Bruce Greenhorn appears on the program to promote his terrible reductionist version of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The boys travel to West Hollywood to record this train wreck.
    4 July 2018, 4:35 pm
  • Episode 204: Robot Shakedown Pt 2 Reloaded
The boys go for broke with their review of Now You See Me 2: The See-ening. Is Morgan Freeman the Ruff Monster's father? This and many other questions answered. Then, the boys are back in town as Werner Herzog and the irrespressible Street Pug return with the thrilling conclusion of their murder mystery. Kirk Cameron still guest-stars as Brock Nelson, PI.

  • Episode 203: Robot Shakedown Pt 1
Don't call it post-apocalyptic as the boys review Turbo Kid (sponsored by gnome-bats, probably). Then, the sci-fi theme continues as Werner Herzog and his ever-present muse Street Pug investigate a mystery that cuts close to home. Kirk Cameron guest-stars as Brock Nelson, PI.

  • Episode 202: Last Jedi Strikes Back
It's a special birthday edition of Toga in the Morning as the boys discuss birthdays and other dimensions with the birthday girl/android Bjork.
