The official podcast of Light Of The Nations Foursquare Church in Denver Colorado. Light of the Nations is a Multi-National, Multi-Ethnic, Multi-Generational, Multiplying, Mission-Minded Church serving in Denver, Colorado.
Satan wants to take you and sift you just like Peter. This is spiritual warfare. Peter had an issue with pride. We all do. Everyone of us can fail because of pride. Don’t argue with the devil. Instead be humble and trust in Jesus. You also must submit to God. Through Jesus’ blood, you are forgiven.
The process of spiritual warfare. We need to tear down the strongholds in us. In our lives we have areas where the devil has power. We need to remove the devil’s strongholds and replace them with strongholds for God.
Strongholds can be habits that we stick to. They exist in the way we think. For example, might makes right. Or my way or the highway. Another one is anxious thoughts. Another is righteous unforgiveness. Another is fear. God did not give you a spirit of fear.
The weapons that God gives us are heavenly weapons. We need to understand God’s word. Repent our sins and confess them.
Surrender is the pathway to victory. Theat one another as more important than yourself.
When God is telling you something is wrong, don’t defend yourself!
Prayer guide for deliverance
· Name and confess the areas of stronghold
· Expose yourself completely to the Lord
· Bind the forces of darknes in the name of Jesus
· Submit to the light of truth in Jesus name
· Declare stronghold coming down
· Thank the Lord for cleansing
· Declare your path forward and not to go back and to remove the last remnants of strongholds
We are sojourners on this planet. So don’t ger too comfortable. When we say yes to Jesus, He takes us on this beautiful journey. To transform us, to change us, to multiply us, to grow us. You may have been born a Rwandan, but God doesn’t keep you one. He makes you a Kingdom Citizen!
The gospel have given us many things. Jesus has given us abundant grace for our lives. He has given us mercy to overcome any sin. He has given us so much redemption for every single one of us. But one thing it doesn’t give us is room to pretend. There is no license or option to lie to ourselves.
When we pretend to be all good when we are not, God has a problem with that. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. The one thing worse that having the sin in our lives is pretending we don’t have it. When we are honest with God it empowers Him over our lives.
There is nothing wrong with looking good except when we do it to gain the approval of others. When we are hiding things in our life, we give that thing power. But when we call it what it is, we gain power over that sin.
Sins like fear and doubt can gain tremendous power over us unless we call it what it is. We need to understand our responsibility to be honest and empower the Holy Spirit to do its work in our lives.
Does our church culture force us to pretend in order to be accepted? Can you be real or do you feel that you have to pretend to protect yourself? Do the people around us encourage honest growth or are we trapped in a cycle of pleasing and approval? Whoever we perform for reveals who we worship.
Honesty is a doorway for God! Let’s stop pretending. Tell Jesus about it and then listen for His response.
Bishop Kamanzy is the National Leader of Foursquare in Uganda.
When we get to Heaven we will have no boundaries and all be one people.
The name of this church is Light of the Nations. Jesus is the light of the world. If Jesus is in us, that mean the light is in us. If the light is in us, we need to let it shine everywhere we go. Christ in you must shine!
Praying for missions. We are all in a mission field. It isn’t only when you go someplace “on a mission.” It is wherever you are. Your mission begins from where you are.
God has a plan for your life. Since we are all on a mission, everyday we must pray and ask God how we can partner with Him.
God called Joseph and sent him. Same with Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
Think about the reason you are here. Before I go home, I want to fulfill my mission. I want to hear “Well don, good and faithful servant” when I get there.
How much do you pray. It can be overwhelming praying for the whole world.
We need God in every area of our lives. The more God the better.
Your first pulpit is in your home. You must have a church in your home.
All have sinned. So all need the saving grace of God. It is a worldwide problem. So we are all called. The first call is in your family. The call for evangelism and discipleship is not only for pastors. It is a work for all of us. When was the last time you led someone to Christ?
The Gospel is the only good news and it must get there in time.
Why are you afraid to say you are a Christian? Why are you ashamed to talk about Jesus? Did He not do a great work in your life?
Ask God: “What do you want me to do?” Don’t ask for what you want to do. God has a plan for your life. Ask Him about it.
This is the continuation of last weeks sermon. We are in a war. As soon as you become a Christian you become a target of the devil. We are under attack.
Wisdom is needed to fight this war.
Age and treachery will always defeat youth and zeal. Satan is an ancient foe and his specialty is lying.
Purity of heart helps us see the Lord.
Satanic and demonic activity has become rampant in recent years.
The devil would love for you to believe he doesn’t exist.
Many Christians have compromised their faith. We must not compromise.
Sometimes the people in the most danger are the smartest ones. Arrogance can destroy you. Pride goes before the fall.
You have Jesus in you. The power of Christ is in you. You need to know who He is.
The pathway to victory. How to keep from falling. Submit to God
