This week we are visiting with our friend Marcos about how to note be hated by Cubans. This is the first part of our two part conversation.

Are you ready for school to begin? Avoid being hated by your child's teacher and listen to this podcast with Jess. In this week's episode she shares insider tips on how to get your kids ready for the school year and how to have a great relationship with their teacher.

1. Make sure bed times and routines are in place before the school year starts. Start practicing a week before school starts so your kids are use to waking up early and going to bed earlier.

2. Read to your kids in the evenings.

3. Introduce yourself to your child's teacher and follow up a few days later with an email.

4. If you do have a problem with your child's teacher, communicate using "I" and always assume the best.

5. If you need to have a conversation with your child's teacher, make an appointment. The carpool line is not the place to have an in depth discussion about your child's grade.

Liz and Adam have embarked on a 30 day journey to rid their lives of all happiness and joy, otherwise known as the Whole 30 Diet. In this week's episode we chat with Beki, a Whole 30 graduate, and she shares some tips and pointers to help make getting along with your friends easier during this time of sadness. ;-)

You'll need to take a listen as Myk shares one experience that left Toni speechless.

1. Don't send drunk friends home alone! This is both dangerous for your friend and the driver!
2. You can sit in the front or the back, it's your choice.
3. When you are inside the car, remember to use your inside voices.
4. Remember to tip! Uber allows in app tipping, so make sure you share the love (and the money) with your driver.

Have you ever ridden in an Uber, Lyft, or Taxi? If so you might be able to relate to this week's podcast episode. Liz and Toni are discussing ride sharing etiquette and a few tips for their drivers.

1. Drive assertively, but also safely. Don't kill your passengers, they still have to pay, tip, leave a review at the end of the ride.
2. This isn't the Daytona 500. Take turns at reasonable speeds.
3. We like a car that smells clean... not SCENTED.
4. We also like a car that is clean. You don't have to drive a BMW, but please make an effort to keep the back seat useable.
